Take The Shape of Evil as Michael Myers or save your neighbors as a Hero of Haddonfield in Halloween, the ultimate asymmetrical horror sandbox.
As Michael, players wear the mask, become the Boogeyman, and stalk innocent residents with relentless obsession. Utilizing a nightmarish array of abilities, Michael leverages shadows and stealth to satisfy his bloodthirst. This doesn’t mean Haddonfield is going down without a fight. Frightened townsfolk will call the local authorities and even fight back when threatened, incentivizing Michael to avoid detection. And for the first time ever, fans of the transformative original film will have the option to witness the haunting narrative events surrounding "The Night He Came Home" through the eyes of Michael Myers in a standalone singleplayer story mode.

In dynamic and ever-changing 1v4 asymmetrical multiplayer matches, hero players must arm themselves with everyday household items, weapons, and knowledge to combat an unpredictable and unkillable enemy. Convincing townsfolk and contacting the police will lead to increasingly powerful and thorough neighborhood patrols. To even the odds, you can command and equip NPCs with weapons to outsmart or even overpower The Shape, providing precious windows for escape.
This immersive horror sandbox is powered by Unreal Engine 5 to deliver engaging and dynamic gameplay systems, life-like NPCs, hauntingly realistic visuals, cinema-quality lighting, and endless scares for you and your friends. Asymmetrical horror comes home in Halloween.

Went into the game not knowing how to do a damn thing, the NPC's are buggy and dont follow you and its mini game and escort simulator. Constantly felt lost and looking for items and never finding an exit. Animations bugs and just feels one sided. Getting icons as the police officers and not getting prompts for anything. Its just a mess of a game....

They need to fix the cops just watching you when Michael picks you up, they don't even try to save you. Michael needs to be weakened each time he's knocked, you can knock him over and over again and it doesn't really have an effect on him. Would be really fun if they balance the game. Should be a chance you escape when he grabs you, you have no chance. Also hitting him whens hes holding someone does nothing. You can't enter a resident home once they get scared the just lock themselves in their house and its very annoying to get them out. Would be better if it was more players and less ai based. Not to mention the countless bugs that can ruin a game. Or you get a michael just abusing whatever weapon just spam swinging the fire poker and you insta die. Had one game Michael was invisible. The more I play this the more the excitment wears off and the game pisses me off, the ad spam to break free NEVER works.
Wkońcu świetna gra o Myersie, mega fun a klimat dowalony
I have a high prestige for both Civilian and Myers and this is how I feel about the game: Genuinely a fun game. Exited for the future of it, I will be there. There are many issues and bugs Illfonic need to address for the game to be healthy and relevant in the upcoming months. The release date was smart as it's leading up to Halloween. These next 2 months are going to be the make or break of this game, I hope Illfonic listen to community feedback and update the game frequently. I'm still not sure how I feel about the game being based around NPC's, I think they should've stuck with the F13 concept of a 1v8, and give Myers a little buff, instead of putting NPC's in between Myers and the players, as I've had games where Myers just ignores me and the other players and goes straight for the NPC's, which should never happen. Voice chat is fantastic and gives many hilarious moments, though sometimes people don't know that their voice chat is on, and when in close proximity to them, the other team can locate them easily. Which is a huge disadvantage. The civilian bike is very overpowered, but I think it should remain how it is, and not be changed, it gives many funny moments for the Civilians, but shouldn't be used as something to bully Myers. The worst thing about this game so far, is that if a Civilian hides an NPC, and then goes away. Nobody will know where that civilian is some of the time. A lot of the time they are highlighted once you enter close proximity to them, but that is the problem, once you enter close proximity. So if there is 1 NPC left, Myers is going to have a hard time finding them stalling the game, and so will the Civilians. As they don't show up with a blip once they have been located and spoken to. When playing as Myers, it should be easier to come out of the 'phase' ability, I find myself constantly spamming Q to get out of it and there's always an issue, I think a good fix to this would be simply showing on the mini-map, and Dark patches, where I can enter my human phase instead of guessing. I can go through many bugs, but I am sure Illfonic are aware of them and are actively working on fixing them. I just hope the first patch wont disappoint. Illfonic, you have gold on your hands, don't ♥♥♥♥ it up.
Really fun and its great you can still get XP in private match with friends
