About
Welcome Initiate.
Your job is simple. Destroy cities. Harvest chaos. Summon an incomprehensible cosmic entity to swallow all of existence and end everything as we know it. We operate remotely, so you're working from home. It's less of a policy and more of a structural integrity issue. Point your mouse at buildings and reduce them to rubble. You'll pick it up fast.
Every demolished structure is another bite-sized offering for the Great Devourer we call Dad. Once the buffet's big enough, he'll show up and handle the rest. Some people call that cosmic horror. We call it space magic. Same thing, better branding. Get to work.
Wield unimaginable cosmic powers (and your mouse) to demolish ever-expanding cityscapes across 40 levels of escalating carnage. As you feed the Great Devourer with the Chaos of your rampage, you will be blessed with Tokens and the honor of taking on greater challenges. Be sure to use those tokens wisely because as the cities get bigger the buildings get tougher.
Do what any red-blooded cultist would do. Turn destruction into profit. Spend Tokens in the shop on permanent upgrades, powerful Boons , and special Relics that make each night of devastation more lucrative than the last. Recharge your Relics between runs and watch your power compound like interest on a really evil savings account.
Wield the power of Relics, ancient artifacts granting abilities that turn you from a humble cultist into a walking apocalypse. Are those dusty old relics not enough power for you? Choose a Relic you want to make permanent and sacrifice the unworthy ones to the Void. Think of it as a terrible gift exchange...with an eldritch horror. Still thirsty for power? Can't wait for the big guy to show up? Unlock his lesser gods, each packing elemental status effects, spectacular special attacks, and valuable currencies of their own.
As the gaping maw of the nameless terror closes around the earth, you realize summoning it was never really about a higher calling or material wealth. You might've just been bored, and following a crowd is easy.

Yeah... in the time it took me play this game, i drank a 16oz beer. I learned more about the beer that i was drinking, than playing this game. Destroy houses with an occultist ... something? I have no idea. I did get a bunch of early cheevements, but at what cost? The neon purple aesthetic was pretty good and relaxing on the eyes though.
Idle games and Clickers arent the same thing. The game is really good for what it is, but it isnt an idle game. Edit: Devs removed the idler tag and I got my refund.
I am so sorry for not playing this game the way it is meant to be played. 😂 I was playing the game normally when I suddenly realized: If I just destroyed the bare minimum every night, I would be able to get more upgrades and tokens every level. So I tried it, and it worked! I was getting tons of stuff! Then... I made a mistake. I kept going beyond the point where you get new upgrades. And the game got to the upgrade screen with no upgrades available, and it wouldn't let me proceed until I bought an upgrade... so I was stuck. I had effectively softlocked myself. I couldn't even quit the game, I had to Alt+F4. And when I booted the game back up, I was stuck on the same screen. So... I guess the lesson here is "don't try to break the game, because you might succeed." Now. I will be refunding the game, but not because of this. I'm refunding the game because it's not what I expected. It's still a good game, just not really my cup of tea. It's less incremental, more roguelite. And there are way better roguelites out there. Still, It was fun, but I'm done.
It doesn't really have any challenge factor. I need that challenge to enjoy a game that scales like this but I understand that isn't the case for some people. If you like easy destruction games this is a good one but if you need a challenge factor I wouldn't advise you get this one. Not a bad game, just not my thing.
its very addicting.
Pros: Great visual aesthetic, satisfying gameplay Cons: Gets very repetitive very quickly. Has a lot of polish issues To elaborate what i mean by polish issues: 1. It... doesnt always save. There is no button to manually save, you gotta rely on autosave. It saved my progress at level 3, but then when i stopped around level 35 and went to have dinner, i came back only to find that... My save file was still level 3. RIP my entire progress. 2. There is no way to access video/audio menu from ingame. You want to change volume? Exit alllll the way to main menu, change it, then return back. And hope that your save file is still there. 3. When upgrading relics, it doesnt tell you which ones you have equipped. So its very easy to accidentally sacrifice a relic you're using. Overall: Honestly probably worth $5 if you dont expect much from it. Graphics are great, and so are the animations.
This is a really good starting point for a good game, it's fun for about 1 or 2 run throughs, not sure if an achievement is bugged or I'm not doing it right, but trying to trigger a bio explosion that hits a few buildings is seeming difficult despite me thinking I meet the criteria for it to trigger. I've completed it three times so far. Honestly I think the way the relics work needs a bit of an overhaul upgrading them to permanent is just for one run through, whereas some boons for finishing a run to improve subsequent runs would be preferable. It's difficult to distinguish which relics you are converting to upgrade to permanent as there is no delineation between equipt relics and unequip ones during this process. Maybe more run throughs will make the relics feel more spread out to where I feel I can have different playstyles but as it is currently it all kind of feels samey. I love the concept and most of the execution I could easily see me playing this more with changes but as it stands it's basically a one and done game, if it wasn't for achievements I would have left it after my first go. Edited: To clarify there is no real game loop/pull for re running this game multiple times, whereas I can see a version of this game where I'd love to be destroying cities over and over again, unfortunately this game just isn't it. As mentioned above I think the relics need to change for this so that the player can have more custom builds to destroy with, as well as something I hadn't mentioned is the buildings are very static and one dimensional despite being 3D - by which I mean they just pop up in the same formation in the same locations each time and it's actually kinda boring sadly. So much potential here though!
Bought it yesterday, game is ok'ish but way too short .. the relic mechanics are quite annoying, especial the permanent mechanic which make it irratating with the numbers in my opinion .. You get a wall of text of how you just gained a new power but guess what, you don't actually get it without applying the relic - weird design. The game have potential but it misses content, I would much prefer it to be longer with more meaningful upgrades, also a growing city where you can learn patterns is better than changing the layout every single level. Tried to repeat it the game try different mechanics, didn't feel any difference and nothing really changes and all is exactly the same, helped me passed a shift at work at the middle of the night at least .. I give it positive because I can see the developer worked hard on it, but expect max 90 minutes of actual content, no min max whatsoever and its clear the developer gave up mid way and never actually finished developing the game.
I only played for an hour, so keep that in mind. The first few minutes of the game just repeated. No real sense of change of scenery, if that matters to you. It was just the same thing again and again without even the sense that the upgrades made the screen look any different. These things are getting strong, should they not also change in color or design to show that effect? I understand the progressive nature of these games, but this was not fun.
It's fun to try and develop builds, and overall, a good game. However, it would be nice for a bit less linearity in the relics/shrines, getting a lightning first rather than a fire, etc.
