The potential was there, but the game gets stale really quick.
We could't play local co-op due to issue with connection to external server.
requires a connection to servers to be played. but sometimes you can't connect to those servers. don't pay for this game.
Garbage. Don't waste your money. Can't connect to the server. I want a refund.
If you're trying to play with a friend, good luck. There are two spots where it loads that can just fail to load/connect and you are left on a loading screen forever and have to close the game and try again. And it's not like 10% of the time either, it's about 75% of the time it will just fail to connect to the other player. With how old this game is, I'd expect the basic multiplayer connection bugs to have been ironed out by now, but nope
Really fun gameplay but I'm confused by the game design? There doesn't appear to be a purpose to creating a new character apart from having a different race but it also resets your levels when you do that. There's basically zero charm in the game to keep me invested in it. So I can't recommend it beyond the main gameplay being interesting.
Great idea but unfortunately gets repetitive really fast. Nothing really changes after few hours and story is bland. For the spy controls work great but hacker has hard time now and then when navigating through nodes.
Fun, but limited in content. I played the Agent 90% of the time, though.
A friend and I decided to try out the game, after playing a game of somewhat similar make: Clandestine. Now to not waste time, would I recommend it? No. The movement felt off, the hacker was sometimes locked into moving forwards, unable to reverse (but at times fully able to turn 180). The protected door was sometimes a click, sometimes a hold which made it easy to "fail a hack" if you just tapped it. Moving while hacking; somewhat possible, but more often than not resulted in a failed hack. Equipping the smoke bomb as a hacker and getting caught fully bugged out the game, leaving you unable to move, staying permanently stuck wherever you were at the point of impact. The level design, while unique and at times clever, felt astronomically cramped with too many hazards. The amount of admins/antivirus patrolling the area could very quickly become obnoxious, especially in highly tense moments; such as your partner getting captured. At times there were doors placed in front of the jail cell that could not be remotely opened to slam the guards by the hacker, even if they showed a green symbol meaning they were interact-able. And that's not even half of the hacker issues and complaints we stumbled into. Not to even begin on the stealth agent side of things. Vision cones at times merely being suggestions, hyper sensitive or all of a sudden, dull and oblivious as someone in a retirement home. The slamming door function was effective at halting the guards, but even if they got slammed, they simply resumed their scheduled patrol as if nothing happened, even "fast forwarding" at times in their patrol. And now, for the issue that bothered my friend and I the most: the achievement tracker was busted. No matter what we did, verifying the integrity or creating new characters, the few select things we did barely ever made an impact on our stats. Despite getting achievements for getting an S grade as a hacker and stealth agent, my statistics never went above 0 S grades. My friend however was able to get the 10 S grade achievement. Other issues with various other achievements also ensued. (we were also unable to switch the lobby host which we assumed could be a source for these issues.) All in all, can not recommend, fun the first 4.5 hours. Game experience greatly degraded and the slightest bit of inconveniences started stacking up, plus the inconsistencies in the small but sometimes vital mechanics became insufferable.
