Choose your heroes that will fight to rid this world of corrupted Tendryll. In order to survive, your heroes must work together and coordinate their unique abilities. You will encounter deadly enemies, dangerous traps, and perilous environmental hazards that hex your cards.

Each hero has its own move deck and draws a guaranteed move card each turn - allowing your heroes to always be in the fight. Dedicated map nodes let you swap in new move cards to maintain a balanced move deck.
Alongside their move decks, heroes also have unique attacks and skills that give them powerful ways to reposition themselves and others. You will knock enemies back into walls, teleport to random locations to gain an energy advantage, or throw allies and enemies across the battlefield - dealing heavy damage around where they land.

Double your block, gain Invisibility, or play your card twice - every card can potentially be improved with impactful runes like these.
If you’re feeling bold or desperate, shops and black markets offer risky anomalies that reward you with items for free - if you don’t pay with your life.

Survival requires difficult choices. Along your journey, your heroes will find card-altering runes, unique movement cards, and class-defining relics. Will your heroes take the greedy path to perfect their archetypes, or will they take a safer path, restoring their health with the hope of surviving another battle?

Had promise but the game has been abandoned
Seems to be abandoned, no updates since November 2024 IMHO in the current state i cannot recommend. There is still a lot of polishing and content needed.
Good base game, but appears abandoned. Too little content to justify buying.

***Update Level 8 Ascension w/ all pairs**** I'm still finding myself coming back to this game every month with the hope of completing a new ascension. Recent patches have really toned down the difficulty (I think I've improved, but not that much). It's still challenging; but the rewind feature takes the teeth out of what used to be a very brutal experience. New content is few and far between at this moment, but each new ascension still unlocks new relics to try out. Still positive; and Well worth the purchase. Original: Everyone compares this game to slay the spire + Into the breach... And they're right. That's pretty much it. It stands out with it's versatility through combining builds with the pairs of classes. This mechanic gets me excited for future patches and (hopefully) new characters. Let's be clear... this game is hard. I, personally, find it hard, but fair. It doesn't hold your hand and I have learned (after 60 hours of play) how to build for the Level 3 boss. Finally made it to ascension 3 with all characters and I am still feeling strong enough to climb the ladder as high as I can go. My only complaint is typical for early access games... the content well is drying up fast. New cards are now done for each class and runes/potions are unlocked a bit slower now. However, I got a lot of value for the money spent so far. I'll keep coming back to this as long as it's maintains support.
Its a cool idea but its just....lacking something. Maybe it comes with having to try to balance more than one character at a time? Every run starts to feel kind of the same. Its not that hard to win if you know what to look for. I guess you can build the same way...lower deck size, upgrades, get lots of relics, get some kind of synergy that scales in defense and offense. Like the enemies dont really matter. Getting card choices usually isnt great, so opting for anything helping above is the way to go. Curses dont hurt that much usually, so just go for free stuff. I guess it feels like the challenges dont really matter that much. Its just more is your build meet all the checklist in time? Then the gameplay just takes a long time? Just about not making too many careless mistakes. I lost more from getting lazy and careless than actual mistakes. Maybe im looking into it too much, the balancing of some other games may be spoiled me. Tried really hard to enjoy it, but it got stale pretty quick. No idea what would fix it.
ABANDONED HALF-BAKED GAME
Looking forward to more content
great roguelike deckbuilder, very original
One of the best ways to scratch the roguelike itch since slay the spire! Was part of the beta, then played early access. It's been wonderful to see the game flesh out and grow. Things are balanced and combat it interesting and it's so fun to get interesting combinations.
One of the best tactical rogue-like game ever. Highly recommended for any fans of Slay the Spire
