Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 7 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Severely Chronically Offline Role Playing Game
"Why didn't you just say so from the start?" - Haseo, .hack//G.U. Vol. 4: Reconnection FULL SPOILER I've played the trilogy on the PS2 a decade or so ago. Playing these games supposed to be a nostalgia trip for me, but I must've had a surgically precise amnesia because 80% of this game escapes my memory. The things that remained in my mind of this game are Atoli, Shino, Kuhn and Pi, Ovan, The Epitaphs orbital frames, Sakaki being a see-you-and-tee and the Xth form. Rediscovering the details in these games is actually quite a pleasant experience throughout, regardless of flaws along the way. A string of action RPGs that dared to ask... what if Sasuke is Naruto? So, are the games fun? Yeah, it's fun for what they wanted to be, which is seasons long anime series that you can play. The developer of this series, CyberConnect2 was responsible for all those Naruto Ultimate Ninja 'arena fighters' that FGC people hates so much, and Asura's Wrath, so you can see the lineage here. The combat is simple, straight forward multi hit combos on one button, charge attack, and your occasional Devil Trigger when you burn the filled up meter. The enemies had weaknesses to certain weapons and elements, so it's not entirely mindless. There're magic spells but I barely use them, which is appropriate for the character you're playing to be fair. You don't really have to care about the itemization that much, but for optimization sake it's there for you to engage with. The dungeon crawling's unfortunately repetitive, the level design is very "boxed in", going through them is routine. The Epitaph boss battle, comparable to Zone of the Enders in terms of controls and mobility, are just as simple but still fun to play through. I enjoyed these segments, most of the time. The collectibles side missions, they don't carry progress from volume to volume, so that's not fun. The game is not hard at all. It's almost too easy at times, which is fine. Alright, that's all I can say about the gameplay, time for some melodrama and themata The greatest thing about these games is the unique premise for sure. In a general sense, it's a study of human behaviour in a simulated environment, how video game immersion affects one's decision making process, how freedom and restrictions shape the users' attitude and opinions, and how the online and offline world interact with each other. The in-universe MMORPG 'The World' is this hybrid isekai setting that smashed the 4th wall with its chainsaw-scythe, acknowledging fantasy and reality in the same space, appreciating and criticising the idea of escapism. The multimedia aspect of these games are actually really fun to observe. The most interesting part of the worldbuilding happened outside of the MMORPG, seeing the offline world's technological progress through news outlets and public forums. It's a fun lively way to recreate the pre-social media internet culture we had back then. All of this is background to a classic hero's journey, the main character Haseo goes through the same old story but the contexts are rearranged. It's digital instead of magical, divine powers are cheating tools, evil is not just cruel it's viral. It's cyberpunk under the guise of fantasy. It's great. Now, is the story good? Vol. 1, 2, 3 'Meandering' is the keyword here. The pacing of the dialogue is a little slow if you don't mash the skip button. You can kinda see the structural formula of the story of these games by how they gave out information it's almost transparent. Some events that happened in the story actually could've been an email, but it's a video game so they gotta stretch it out I guess. But you know what? Overall, it's a fun ride. Seeing Haseo's character growth is compelling, an anti-social loner going on a shonen adventure to protect his dear newfound friends. It's a fairly satisfying watch. Vol. 4 It's a victory lap, return to this decade old world and give it the happiest ending possible. This is like Dragon Quest 11 level of optimism. It's nice. Misc. - Piros the 3rd is cool - Online Jack is cool - Crimson Vs is fine - Sakaki is such a ♥♥♥♥ isn't he - Ovan is a gamer so I guess him being mysterious is just his dorkiness seeping out The steampunk visual aesthetics is actually great for real, I recommend these games for the visuals alone. Should you play .hack//G.U. Last Recode? Get it on sale, it's less than thirty bucks, in my country at least. So, Buttrice, R3? Go check your email.
Pi is best girl shut up
This game was great for nostalgic early internet vibes, and GAMES. GREAT STORY the character arc of the main guy was one of my favorites in recent memory. Was on the backlog for AWHILE. Now thanks to the recession we can start putting work on backlogs AND I'M GLAD I DID 9/10 grindy if you want trophies but otherwise super nice!
My childhood memories
Very disappointing experience considering I spent 2x as much on a controller to more easily play this as I did on the game itself, which has bugged halfway? through Volume 1. Save data, with cloud saving off, keeps getting lost after the early arena fights after shutting down the game. No matter how many times I save the game after that it reverts to the two save files I made before starting to level and rank up. The first time I leveled up to level 40, then again to level 46, only to have data reverted to my mid 30s save files. Oh, and apparently "recoding" the series has made it pathetically easy. I ended up way above quest levels before I actually got around to getting over the the quest giver to do a ton of content that has since been lost in the aether of dataspace.
bruh at least update this game add another difficulty for it Normal Hard Hell Cheat more “for babys” Like this bruh .Hack//G.U i remember is not easy AF like this. AAAARRGGHHH i just realize it when i fought K*te , “Dafuq? I dont remember he was this easy”
dont buy this game, every time you open it it deletes your save data no matter how far in you were. all of the games included are available on your pirate site of choice so just get it that way.
A great series worth pouring the time in, the final episode is short and mainly just a showcase of an ending. some things are better modded but vanilla is fine
This FAUX-MMO is a steal on sale.
So I have been playing this game on and off for years, I've been the original 3 back when they came first came out back in early 2000's or so, (can't remember exact dates) and honestly I loved it then and I love it now, this is probably one of my first jrpg's besides the original .hack (still waiting on that remake Atlus) and also Final Fantasy. and I have come back to this one more than any other ones, I will admit sometimes it can be a slog but if you do the normal amount of leveling and work in the game, I honestly don't think it will be that difficult. and if you want to make it more difficult you can, I also love the extra quests although I hate the every person one (can't remember the name of it) but the others are quite fun, question is, is it worth 50-60$ honestly, yes you're getting easily 100 hours or more if you want to 100% it for all 4 games, and depending on when this game gets discounts. that means it's an even better deal.
