One of the most fun games out there for shooters. It has a wide array of characters and powers to choose from along with a crazy amount of scrolls and guns to further customize any run. Playing with friends just makes the game even better as you can trade scrolls and guns and help each other reach the perfect build. Areas are seamless and its easy to navigate even when they feel maze-like. Over the years they've added a lot of QoL to help cut time and make things even smoother when it comes to navigating them with increased speed on stage clear and being able to ready a door even when you're not near it. Enemies range from training dummy to mini-bosses in terms of AI and danger. I've had quite a few runs where I got hit by a single sniper and my run had to end. But its easy to quickly boot up another run and get right back into the game. It's a bit intimidating with how much you have to unlock, but once you get a few skills, guns and scrolls the game just gets better and better. Another massive positive is the season passes. You get XP on them via playing the game and the nice thing is that if you miss a season you can simply go back to it, there is no content that you'll be missing by getting into the game late. Game runs super smooth, and I had a run where a friend's PC crashed and we were able to just restart from the previous checkpoint with nothing lost. This is a fantastic game with a ton of content and if you're looking for something new to play with friends, this is at the top of the list. The DLC is nice but definitely not needed to have a good time either!
