All things considered GC is an amazing game, but if you want the best game get yourself wai wai party via any means necessary as the version of the game here on Steam is long abandoned even though it still gets hit with sales. Otherwise if you don't care to get Wai Wai Party snag this version and its dlc of choice during a sale

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Honestly, imma give this game a 3/10, you can like or dislike the review at any time. I'm a groove coaster Wai Wai player who played the game for 4 years, and then played the arcade version, and i decided to play the steam version since it was my first time on steam and to no one's surprise, it's only free original songs from the game and YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING LIKE TOUHOU, MUSIC GAME SONGS, AND MORE SONGS THAT YOU LIKE, it's not my fault that i'm broke. The worst part of the game that you had to do these annoying diagonal slides with a keyboard and no its not like the switch version, you had to do it like an AC controller so im forced to use an xbox controller to avoid failing hard mode. the only highlights of this game is that the free songs have really good tunes and the music credits are nostalgic.
Groove Coaster is one of my favourite rhythm game series, and it pains me to say that this version is outright trash. Development was entirely abandoned just under a year after release, which meant none of the later GC4EX songs were included in the game. The sync offset tool is atrocious as you have to go all the way into the options and then go into a song to test it. DLCs being piecemeal at a high per song base price sorted into bundles instead of packs like they do on the Switch games. From what I gather as of sometime early 2026 the game crashes to desktop on launch for some users, including myself. With the latest problem I can't imagine recommending this over any other GC version to anyone.
Groove Coaster is a great game, ouroboros -twin stroke of the end- is a legendary song, but the Steam version is not good. Specifically when it comes to ad-libs because of the audio delay issues this version of the game has. The input delay also feels kind of high so it's hard to tell if you're hitting late or early so it's hard to adjust your offset. But this version is better than nothing if you're looking for more an arcade experience of Groove Coaster But really, if you have an Android phone, just get Groove2offline for it instead, it's better in so many ways. I'm giving a positive review for the Steam version here because, in the end, Groove Coaster is still a good and fun game

**Recommended** ⭐ **Groove Coaster – Precision Rhythm Perfected** Groove Coaster delivers one of the most polished rhythm experiences on PC. The core gameplay uses ultra-accurate note synchronization with sub-millisecond input latency, whether using keyboard, controller, or touchpad. Every track feels perfectly mapped: complex patterns, speed changes, and multi-lane twists are executed flawlessly. Visually, the game is stunning — neon vector graphics, dynamic lighting, and particle effects run at locked 60 FPS (or higher with V-Sync off) even on mid-range hardware. No stuttering, excellent optimization, and full Steam Deck support with native controller profiles. The soundtrack library is massive and high-quality: licensed J-pop, electronic, rock, and original Taito compositions, all mastered for perfect beat-matching. Progression system rewards skill with unlockable charts, score multipliers, and replayability that easily hits 50+ hours. If you loved the mobile Groove Coaster 2 (RIP servers), this is the definitive upgrade — more content, better performance, and constant updates. Controls are tight, visuals pop, and the difficulty curve is excellent. 11/10. Best rhythm game on Steam.
