Grim Tales 2: The Legacy (IHOG) Abandon logic all ye who enter here. Options include separate sliders for Music, Environment, SFX and Voices, a slider for Brightness and Custom Cursor. Choice of three difficulties, which can be changed at any time. Story: This story continues the story that started in the first game, GT: The Bride. Your sister has invited you to come visit her home -- a bona fide castle -- to finally meet and be present for her son's christening. When you arrive, the castle is deserted and wolves are on the prowl. Once again we will be entering Luisa's memories to learn what has transpired. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1907693119 There is no Journal, and at least once there is a mini-game that requires you to remember something from another room. Gameplay: We have a MAP, which is kind of interactive. You can insta-transport, and it does show your location and areas where there's something to do, but not necessarily something you can do RIGHT NOW. If you hover your cursor over a location, you will get a Task List for that specific site, but even if there's something to do there, if it's not on the task list, it won't show up as an active location. Ugh. There are no directional HINTS, and you will instead get a popup with text telling you exactly where you need to go and what you need to do, making it only semi-useful. Hidden Object Scenes are all standard find-by-list with no interaction. Items are well-hidden, but at least there is no misclick penalty when you are in Casual mode. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1907694338 If you read my reviews with any frequency, you know that I really have a problem with being asked to do things that don't make sense. Ah, game logic, how do I loathe thee? Let me count the ways. The ridiculousness in this game was over the top, and really set my teeth on edge right from the beginning. Eventually I just let it go and went with the absurdity, and even managed to enjoy myself later in the game. The Mini-games range from fun to pretty challenging. Sights and Sounds: The anachronisms were a little jarring. As discordant as... well... paraphrasing Dante and Elizabeth Barrett Browning in the same review! lol~ Visually the game is nice... Not my favorite style, but there are a few really pretty scenes. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1907693505 The soundtrack is good, and the few voiceovers present in the game were done well (as best I can remember!) CE Content:

Integrated Strategy Guide
Bonus Chapter
8 Wallpapers
8 Concept Art
5 Music Tracks (can be saved)
Bonus Chapter: The extra chapter has us entering the memories of another member of the Gray family in order to fix an issue from the past. It was a decent length, and I think I enjoyed it more than the main story. Verdict: I was seriously annoyed by the logic in this title, but that doesn't make it a bad game... It's simply a pet peeve of mine. It didn't help that there are also some localization errors (grammar, etc.) that were jumping out at me. There are no Steam or in-game achievements that would have made it more enjoyable (for me). The game took me almost 4.5 hours to complete, despite rapid-clicking in the HOS and skipping multiple mini-games. I would recommend this game for those who enjoy the genre and/or are fans of the series.
Sorry, nope. It's almost unplayable. I couldn't play full screen because half the screen was black. So I played in a small window and could barely see any of it......meh
Outstanding value. This is an "old-fashioned" hidden object game, meaning that there are many hidden object scenes, many puzzles (some of which are really tough), and care has obviously gone into creating all the scenes. The strategy guide is very well done, or you can use the Skip or Hint buttons if you're stuck. Nice long game with lots and lots to do. Nice art. The music doesn't play throughout, but the atmospherics do. (Note that my shown running times are false, since I leave games on all the time.) If you enjoy more challenging HOGs with lots of puzzles and a decent story, this is a very good game. Cons: No achievements, no trading cards; No automatic widescreen Overall: 10/10 as an older-style game (it's nice to do different puzzles, and I've missed the word-based HO scenes)
Just a headache it just doesn't quite work sadly, I got it as a bundle and just doing it to get to the end... Well if it would let me ;/ Do not get.
Kackt die ganze Zeit ab
incredibly cursed
Desde el 2011 he estado buscando este juego, jugué la demostración y estuve fascinada. Ahora al fin logre terminarlo, me ha dejado realmente impresionada y satisfecha. Sin duda lo volveré a jugar en un tiempo <3
Really annoyed, can't p[ay game, black screen, are thinking of asking for money back. Any ideas?
The Issue with Lag
Like it's predecessor this game has issues. In this case it's obviously kind of sloppy coding that lies behind the issue of a laggy and pretty enervating game. If you too encounter lag after buying this game, don't mind to try to look for issues on your PC's side, or even in the settings of Steam. Not the steam overlay, or any other issue that is based on either computer or platform is the problem, it's something within the game. Often lag is produced by a constant "mouseover" function-call or something similiar, often a request within a request, leading to a request... Lag, combined with the price - not a good combination.
Not recommended!
You have been invited to attend your nephew’s christening. When you get close to Luisa’s new castle home, something causes your car to have an accident (the cutscene for that didn’t play for me). As you try to enter the castle, you discover a large number of wolves about. And then there are some clues that some of them might even be werewolves… Also, why is there a wolf cub in the crib? Seems like you have another mystery to solve… The HO scenes are decent, minigames challenging, and the plot interesting. Suspect this title was originally made around 2011 (there are dates in one of the early HO scenes). Suggest getting the bundle.
