this game made me like boys 'n shii
I really really really liked Thespius
This game is great! It's so funny and charming, I love all the blips when characters are talking, and how each character's dialogue and dialect are unique and written as they are speaking--you can really hear their voices in your head. The artstyle is distinct and charming, and not afraid to be different than the norm. It's unique and wonderful and there's love in each character's design. There are sections with puppets are well that are just so special. When you talk to the Gods you enter a first person perspective, and the are animated in a completely different style which really makes them stand out. The gods are all unique and fascinating, each one has utterly charmed me. I have a plushie of Inspekta on my couch. You are the Godpoke, a character who does not speak, but can use the Megapon to suck up other character's words and use them to solve puzzles. Along the way, you meet the various Gods of the grove, and uncover the corruption at the heart of everything. And save da world!
that was so sweet
This game is awesome and oozing with creative style, highly recommend this hamburger of digital code.
This is a typical "woke" narrative, but since it is an original creation, no established lore is harmed. Positive reviews raised my expectations, but it feels like the praise is just for ticking formal boxes. A great example is Thespian; hyped up by critics, but actually one of the most bland gods in the game. If you enjoy this specific style, you will love it. If not, lower your expectations. It isn't a bad game, but it can be boring outside of its themes. I am giving it a recommended rating only on the condition that you know exactly what you are getting into.
fantastic game! fun puzzles and amazing characters. would recommend to anyone looking for a highly engaging and deeply strange experience
the game is very gay. happy pride month!!
★ Overall Rating: 4/5 Music: 4/5 Characters + Story: 5/5 Game Mechanics: 3/5 Replay Value: 2.5/5 My thoughts: Very wholesome story that got more emotional than I was expecting! Phenomenal writing and character building, although if English is not your main language, the quirky dialogue might be confusing to understand. Very queer friendly as well, characters of every type of gender and sexual identity felt very natural here which was refreshing to see. Basically a giant fetch quest game mechanic which I was worried would get old (you deliver messages) BUT the art style, music, and characters themselves are so amazing that I didn't even mind it at all! I was genuinely interested in learning more. The added addition of hidden achievements and different responses based on the message delivered and the large cast of characters means you can spend alot of time just trying out different options to see what responses are given out. AND you want to as well (at least I did!). I personally loved the mechanics, but I can see why others might get annoyed: Some of the solutions to get a specific response didn't make logical sense, and sometimes I found myself just throwing "messages" at characters (you'll understand when you play) and hope something landed. BUT there are hint opportunities if you get confused and it has the added bonus of trying all dialogue options for different responses, which I loved figuring out. A wholesome, "cheesy" game about communication that I absolutely ADORE and honestly more people should get a reminder about, even if it's showed so bluntly to your face. Worth the money and experience!
剧情有趣、人设鲜明的脑洞解谜游戏,玩法还算独特。前两章部分解谜比较迂回,可能需要参考攻略。成就都很好拿
