Grave Chase

I could definitely see this in an arcade box if it were made when those were big. Great art, game-play, soundtrack. Its got it all. Highly recommended <3

Grave Chase é um jogo arcade de terror muito bom e que eu acho que merece muito mais atenção do que ele recebeu. Ele foi criado pelo Roger Barr do I-Mockery, responsável por muitos jogos memoráveis da era flash como Abobo's Big Adventure ou Trick-r-Treat Adventure Quest, que eu considero um jogo clássico de Halloween. Nesse jogo, você controla um de dois irmãos enquanto juntam pedaços de corpos para criar um monstro e vingar a morte de seus pais pelas mãos de um zelador de cemitério maléfico. Na prática, o jogo acaba sendo um jogo parecido com PAC-MAN no qual o jogador passa por 31 níveis cavando covas e achando os membros que precisa enquanto enfrenta uma horda de inimigos diferentes, cada um com uma mecânica diferente, e foge do zelador, que funciona quase como um Mr. X ou Nemesis dos Resident Evil, te procurando e perseguindo em todas as fases. A mecânica principal de cavar funciona extremamente bem, e o jogo é bem variado e vai introduzindo mecânicas novas até o final de sua duração. Eu geralmente apenas faço análises quando platino um jogo, mas nesse decidi fazer após zerar pois não tenho certeza se conseguirei platinar ele: assim como os jogos arcade que inspiraram ele, Grave Chase é um jogo extremamente difícil, e que você vai masterizando aos poucos. Eu adoro muito a temática desse jogo: ele consegue capturar perfeitamente grande parte do apelo e da vibe de filmes de terror dos anos 80, e digo isso não por ele ser repleto de referências (apesar de termos referências explícitas a filmes como A Bolha Assassina e A Pequena Loja de Horrores), mas sim por ele conseguir representar bem vários dos elementos dos filmes da época, como a temática de crianças lutando contra monstros, ou como ele expõe essas crianças a perigos muito mais brutais do que se espera. Eu também adoro como ele consegue realmente ser um jogo de terror, e não só ser um PAC-MAN com uma skin nova: se você não possui muita experiência no gênero ou não espera antes de jogar, as sequências de perseguição com o zelador conseguem ser surpreendentemente tensas. Eu recomendo muito Grave Chase, ele é um jogo baratinho que entrega muito, e é perfeito para se jogar na época do Halloween, com seus 31 níveis se passando nos 31 dias do mês de outubro. Ele é um jogo bem difícil mas, para quem está procurando um jogo com uma vibe "spooky" pra jogar esse mês ou gosta muito de filmes de terror dos anos 80, esse jogo é uma excelente escolha.

Gotta admit, it's a really fun and addictive game about digging graves and fighting ghouls. It's pretty reminiscent of Zombies Ate My Neighbors, an awesome game that I still play to this day on my Sega Genesis. You should totally check it out btw. So far I find this game to be very enjoyable. It's definitely worth buying. Only problem I have with it, is the difficulty. It gets ridiculusly difficult in the later stages. But other than that, it's a good game.

什么玩意儿

Not really much to say; it's arcade style, which is a refreshing change in pace. It's quite atmospheric. Game control is quite user friendly. At a quick glance, it seems like it might be easy? Oh hell no. You have to really formulate strategies and get ready to discard them at the drop of a hat. Any hat. It's quite challenging and very addicting. Also, I like the achievements. You can tell a lot of love went into this game. Overall, it's fun as hell. Aggravating at times, but it's still a blast!

Amazing game for the best month in the year.

What do you get when you cross Pac-man, Graveyards, Zombies, Blood, body parts, a homicidal maniac, 31 days and SCIENCE!? Fun retro style game where you mission is to collect body parts without getting killed or disturbing The Caretaker and then escaping. Pretty challenging even on the easy level. Good luck and may you survive 31 days of October.

난이도가 적당히 어려워서 계속 도전하게 만든달까? 몬스터들이 다양한 공격을 해오고 무적의 묘지기 아저씨(?)가 달려드는 걸 어떻게 대처할지 생각하면서 해야 되는 게 재밌다. 옛날 게임 느낌이 나는 것도 좋음.

Death by monster simulator I've died as much in this game as I did in Bloody Traplands. Dig graves looking for body parts to make monsters while avoiding various monsters and an invincible graveskeeper. It feels kinda pacman like, you are on a small square screen and have hedgemazes and gravestones that block your path. It's quite fun if you don't mind doing levels over and over like 30 times, also has loads of achievs like kill X amount of said-creature. goes on sale for 2$ often.

Impressed by this game. Both for its spooky aesthetic, but even more for how surprisingly satisfying the gameplay is. You play a character digging up graves trying to find body parts to assemble into a monster to avenge your dead parents who were killed by a graveyard caretaker. Meanwhile, you're battling mummies and skeletons and ghosts and snakes and maniacs and spiders and ghouls and other types of monsters, each of which acts or reacts differently. And you never know what you'll unearth in that next grave. It's an nuanced, extremely balanced maze game with very little learning curve. Loved it.
