It's ♥♥♥♥ now ever since the newest update. I've been solo grinding GTA online just for the fun of and it was hard but not so hard that anybody couldn't do, but since Rockstar are like Jews and keep wanting more money then added the update which if you didn't know the update added a heist for mansion; where you would rob a art gallery for 2 mil BUT THEY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NERFED EVERYTHING AND I DO MEAN EVERY OTHER HEIST BY LIKE 40 PERCENT. It's actually disgusting how greedy Rockstar is and they did this so right before GTA 6 drops they can get more money and have everyone move to GTA ^ instead of playing GTA 5. They (Rockstar) are like Bethesda greedy and ruining their popular older games for more money. This update has nerfed and completely ruined grinding and just playing, get stuff takes much longer now and is just like Red Dead Redemption 2 Online where is almost impossible to progress without spending real world money for in game money. If you're playing story I'm pretty sure you're just fine but to anyone wanting to play online there is no point unless you pay. I got most things before the update but its still now impossible to play for both new and old players. ♥♥♥♥ you Rockstar you greedy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I will start by saying i personally wouldn't recomend this game at this point and i have a few reasons for that one rockstar is already releasing GTA 6 pre orders. 2 Gta 5 Online hiest's have received a huge nerf in hiest payouts . 3 all of the newer cars cost a large amount but selling said cars is close to 40% of the original price. 4 rockstar is more incline to sell sharkcards (a way to buy in game cash example $8million for $100 USD) with a 30% bouns after they had just nerfed hiest payouts. so to add it all up the game at its tail end for online gaming with a huge hit in payouts making griding harder and within a few years or months time the hackers will start to take over like they did in rockstars other game Red dead redemption 2 online.

GTA V is my most played game on steam at this point. With almost a thousand hours combined between the Enhanced and Legacy versions. I loved the online. There was endless fun and endless ways to make money. That being said, do I recommend this game? Absolutely the ♥♥♥♥ not. After it's last major update before VI comes out, they decided to screw everyone over and nerf every heist into the ground. Forcing you to grind harder or come back once a week in order to make money. They probably did this to force people to buy more shark cards and pocket more money. I will never buy a GTA game from them again. Save your money before allowing corporate greed to win.

fun game but wont fix clunky movement, infinite loading screens, that fkxing mantrap casino heist bug thats been in the game for SIX years, modders straight up instakilling everyone in the lobby, npcs driving into you by design, shtty servers that disconnect you mid-mission, putting a fxking tree down to literally prevent you taking a shortcut of 5 whole seconds (petty as hell), the keybinds on pc are terrible and you have to press enter on your keyboard to leave buildings, nerfing every heist in the game even ones that were bad, letting people continue to abuse clothing glitches to have an invisible character that gives you an advantage in combat, apparently in the new heist they blocked off tunnels to make escaping the cops harder (LOL), online specifically runs like ass , the stealth mechanics are weird as hell and trash as in being easy but too buggy, and why is there still a limit on securoserv/motorcycle club/? theres no point anymore. game is cool but wayyyy tooo buggy and they will NEVER fix ANY of this the only thing fun about this game thats unique is stunt biking, fun asf

went to cayo to gather intel first time through went into the water second time flew off the side and swam almost around the entire island (ended up killing myself) 3rd time got caught 4th time got caught again 5th time finally make it to the panel i need to hack after almost getting caught 5 times hack the panel completed the hack start falling to my death because i glitched through the panel pull my chute land and almost get caught check the cams i get berrer bonds no gold 1 painting get caught and returned to los santos press alt and f4 multiple times until the games closes go to gta on steam go to manage and then uninstall the game

On 7/14/2026 the new update ruined the game for it's long time players by nerfing payouts on the older heist in my opinion this was a step backwards for rock star games studio just in time to alienate players that might be interested in possibly getting GTA 6 scheduled to come out in November for console players and also may result in players that subscribe to GTA Plus to cancel there subscriptions I know for sure that i will be canceling mine and would recommend that other players do the same.
