Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition

Llegue a una misión que se me complico (creo que a la ultima de salvatore) en la que 8ball muere en cada intento y por el backtracking que tienes que hacer, decidí seguir con vice city. Fue padre ver los inicios de la saga en 3d, reconozco eel valor histórico pero no me motiva a completarlo la verdad, los siguientes son mejores.

I bought this game because I wanted to experience one of the greatest games from my childhood again. GTA III was one of the games that defined open-world games for me. I still remember driving through Liberty City, listening to the radio, exploring every corner of the map and just enjoying the atmosphere. I didn’t expect perfection from the Definitive Edition, I just wanted to return to that feeling I had years ago. I expected some improvements, maybe better graphics, smoother controls and a few quality-of-life changes. Instead, I received a reminder that some things should stay in the past. The game has issues, the atmosphere is not the same, and somehow a game from 2001 managed to feel more alive than a modern release. Anyway, my uncle called me yesterday and asked if I knew why his toaster was connected to the Wi-Fi. I told him that toasters don’t need internet access. He said that was exactly what the toaster wanted me to think. I went to check. The toaster was gone. In its place was a small note saying: “Your breakfast has been delayed due to technical difficulties.” I have not eaten bread in 6 days. Yesterday a pigeon landed on my balcony and stared at me for 20 minutes. I thought it was just a pigeon. Then it blinked. Only once. I looked away for a second and it was wearing a tiny suit. I asked it where it got the suit. It didn’t answer. It just gave me a business card. The card had my name on it. The address was my apartment. I moved out immediately. My new neighbor is a very polite man who only speaks in numbers. Yesterday he knocked on my door and said: “47.” I asked what that meant. He said: “Exactly.” I don’t know what is happening anymore. My microwave has started counting down even when nothing is inside. My chair makes a noise every time I sit down, like it is disappointed in me. My plants have stopped growing because they are waiting for something. I think they know. I think everyone knows. Except me. Anyway, GTA III Definitive Edition is not recommended.

My Situation I bought the GTA Definitive Edition Trilogy because of the upcoming release of GTA 6. I wanted to play through all the GTA games before GTA 6 drops, so that is why I am starting with the first game in the 3D era, GTA 3. Gameplay For the gameplay, I have to say this is probably the most annoying game I have ever played in my life. Of course, for the time it came out, I am sure it was a revelation and way ahead of its time, but playing it nowadays is just terrible. Driving Physics: The driving physics are horrible. All the cars feel like plastic boats. To make matters worse, they explode after taking just two bullets. The cars explode so much, and I failed so many missions because of that. Mission Design: The layout is so bad. You do not get any clues on what exactly to do. Most of the time, you just roam around the map trying to find out what to do. The worst part is that some missions are fairly long, and when you die, you always have to do every single step over again. There are absolutely no checkpoints. You have to start from the beginning. You can clearly see what I am talking about in the very last mission: you get zero instructions on what to do or where exactly to go, and when you fail at a late stage, you have to start the whole thing over. Health & Police Systems: These systems are total trash. The only way to get health is by picking up health pads scattered randomly around the map, which is incredibly inconvenient if you have not memorized the map beforehand. As for the police, you cannot get rid of them just by hiding. You literally have to pick up the police badges on the ground to reduce your stars, or you have to get your car resprayed. There is no other way to lose them, which is so dumb. Combat: The gun gameplay, of course, is not great either. Story The story is very bad. First of all, we have a protagonist who does not speak, which is the first major downside. But the story itself is basically us being a snitch. We work for three different gangs and constantly betray our own bosses. The entire loop is just: go to this boss, do what they say, and at the end, someone says, "Yeah, kill your boss," and then we kill him. There is no real story here. This game was clearly just made to showcase an open-world game, how it plays out, and what it looks like to have absolute freedom where you can just kill pedestrians and stuff. The story is honestly irrelevant. Performance I read a few reviews claiming that the Definitive Edition has very bad optimization and performance. For me personally, I did not have any problems with stability, lag, or anything like that. On that front, I cannot really say anything bad. The performance on this edition was good, and the graphics look good in 4K as well. Conclusion Finally, I can say I am so proud I never have to play this game again in my entire life because it is such an annoying game, and I hope the other titles are going to be much improved on.

不知道原版是不是车也这么脆皮，追击的NPC都跟疯了一样。好不容易能到第二个岛，结果明日香的第一个主线就难到根本过不去。首先要硬等到4:30才能下手，旁边的三合会成员会无限干扰，等待期间还不能离夜总会太近。一开始由于稀碎的任务指引我根本没发现不能靠近紫色，我还疑惑为什么会被黑手党发现，不是就让我来解决他们的吗？后来才知道得等大佬上车，正常游戏如果因为被发现失败了会直接给你提示，让你离远点，这个游戏不一样，两发霰弹让你的车直接爆炸炸死你，让你以为是对方火力太猛才导致失败的。尝试了快10遍终于发现在旁边等着大佬上车就行了，不过游戏也就到此结束了。在后面流程中我想了各种办法：车上开枪、别车、制造大型车祸，最后要么是我被黑手党无情堵墙轧死，要么是大佬成功逃到车库里，然后只能再从接任务开始等到4:30，那重制版更新的自动存档接续任务的意义在哪？最后灵机一动掏出我在火之审判任务获得的火焰喷射器，对着制造的大型车祸现场一顿喷，没想到黑手党的车是防火的。这个防火还不是根本烧不起来，而是已经有了火焰特效但是没有任何用，最后又被邪恶卡位打到任务重开。实在不想重开了，游戏就把我送到了一处医院，没收了我前几个任务辛辛苦苦攒下来的所有装备，事已至此，卸载差评。不推荐任何人在2026年玩这个版本的gta3，本来就想自己打一遍主线补补剧情，现在还是去云别人的吧。

Как человек видевший что тут происходило на релизе скажу, игра и в правду стала лучше, да всё ещё остались эти "шикарные" лица но в целом играбильно, ни одного бага за 40+ часов не встретил. А так это всё та же старая добрая тройка. Сюжетные миссии в принципе не особо сложные, но тем кто будет на 100% проходить совет: побочки по типу пожарного, такси, мента и т.д. проходите в начале, чтоб не мучаться с челами из мафии с дробовиками. А и ещё перед тем как ехать во второй город, тачку мафии у гг в гараже оставьте для одной из телефонных миссий. 7/10

What a trashy R-star game, ruins childhood memories. Just port it over and call it the "Final Edition" - it's not even as good as the original. Don't recommend it at all
