I want to like this game, I really want to but fact is within 10 minutes my game crashes twice. And considering that this game is six (6) years old I doubt there's any updates/ bug fixes on the horizon. Verdict: As a fan of roguelite genre this negative review hurts inside me but with constant crashing there's no chance for me to enjoy this game. If you are looking for something like Gran Vitreous but something that works (or at least it worked on my PC) check out Geometry Arena's store-page.
Gran Vitreous -- it's a rather odd name for what's very much a fun manic shmup! it starts out horribly hard, but once you perservere and get some upgrades, it gets way more fun...and even more and more so, the bigger and badder your l'il ship gets! I'm up into the late-30s in levels and I totally don't feel OP when attacking even-level zones. I highly recommend GV for crazy madcap shmup action, with persistent upgrades in a rogue-lite sort of manner. (edit: the developers made asteroids and debris two-hit kills on my recommendation. thanks!)
I was introduce to Gran Vitreous by a buddy of mine. After spending some time with it I really enjoy it. Item collecting and leveling up your ship is money. Nice work!
fantastic
Très sympa mais un peu fastidieux à 100%.
- Just a cluster**** of flashy particles on the screen. Much more than you see in the trailer. No way to tell if stuff is bullets, enemies, bonuses or just particles and explosions. No option to tone it down. So you often just fly through stuff and _hope_ it doesn't kill you. - No rebindable controls. - Crashes.
Thumbs up for gameplay and a good roguelite twin stick shooter, but there does not seem to be any ongoing developement /bugfixes and it has crashed at least 3 times in the 2 hours I have played. Others have not had this issue So your computer may be alright but if you get a couple crashes in the first hour just refund because it is not worth the hassle. Recommended , but buyer beware.
Fun game, but grindy. In fact, with the right combination of trash gear, you can keep going until you simply don't do enough damage to kill fast enough, then upgrade to the appropriate level of trash gear, and repeat the process. Rerolling the gear is fun as always, but costs are too high for rare gear. Charge ability is a bit OP, whereas nukes aren't that useful. All in all a fun game that requires very low initial time investment (as opposed to say, Diablo III). Still highly recommended however, as I find this great for stress relief.
