This is the type of title that keeps VR (somewhat) alive. Everything about Ghost Signal is great. The VR controls, roguelike upgrades, ship movement, impressive space visuals, I actually can't think of anything to even critique. The gameplay build payoff is really satisfying, from watching a combination of upgrades to the laser chain through a wave of enemies, or unleashing a bunch of stored up missiles against the final boss but moving the VR perspective right up against it and seeing each missile impact there is tension excitement for such a methodical game.
Хорошая игра, интересным способом подводит к оригинальной игре. Очень порадовало окружение - буквально сязаемые планеты и станции, не картинка а конкретно обьекты. Очень необычно
Played it for a few hours in one sitting since buying it. I’d still be playing now if I didn’t get dragged out to go shopping with the other half. Gameplay is fun and challenging in places. Reminds me of FTL but without the crew. Nice to see the many Stellaris assets and references. I’m enjoying the upgrades both run and permanent. This might be my new go to game when I don’t want to play anything too heavy.
This is a splendid little game that deserves a lot more attention than it has perhaps received. Easy to play but difficult to master, with a sit-down approach to VR that makes it comfortable but still impressive in its depth. Kudos to the team that put this together- I enjoyed it greatly. If you want something to play with your VR headset that is quick to play yet satisfying this would be an excellent choice.
Really well made rougelite space action. Thumbs up 4 this 1. For more reviews: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/5484316/
more stellaris plz gimme
I really like it. Caveats, I have played alot of Stellaris -- and I am often thinking, wtf am I playing this? Am I having fun? This is not Moo 2 it's tedious. 2nd Caveat, alot of the VR games are lacking or basically tech demos. That being said, what a pleasant surprise and bang for my buck as it was super cheap. I come back to this all the time and do another run. It's easy enough to learn and still fun arcade-ish enough and well desinged, with good graphics and lore. Definitely worth the money.
Used Meta Quest 3 to play. Played This space shooter 2 hours and beaten the first boss. The battle with the boss is nice, R-Type, but then 3D VR. The 1st boss has 3 sections. 1 section with a huge shotgun like pellet shooter, the other fires homing missiles. The huge pallets travel through space in 3D and at certain distance they explode. And both parts ofthe boss are connected by some kind of central body part. The enemies come in many shapes and sizes. Some have shields. Some do not have weapons, but ram you. They go so fast their frontal hull is in fire. Every enemy has it's way to attack you and you have to adapt. Lots of enemy variation. The universe is has lots of effects, loot items, gain exp, improve gear. At it's heart it is a simple game. There are space sectors that you visit one at a time. Sometimes you know if there are hostiles, sometimes not. You have a ship A.I. that talks to you and gives advice and tells the story. Clear voice and nice to hear it speak. The controls are easy to learn. After battle you look around and scan asteroids for resources to improve your gear. Suggest you move you head in controlled manner and turn more with your eyes. With fast head movements the game will switch to lower resolution. If you hold your VR set still the 3D images will sharpen again after about 2 sec. No motion sickness what so ever. I guess because the player stands still at a place, then you look around. You can use the left stick to move through space if you want. The game is fun and is sold for a good price. Certainly worth it's money. Edit: 11.4 hours now. The enemy spacecraft and space creatures are animated. Really nice touch. One creature looks like a octopus with moving legs. The head looks alive as well. It moves a bit. Spacecraft has small details. All you can see if you lure the enemies close to your VR glasses. Not yet finished. I need some luck with looting items. Some bosses are easier with certain weapons and or utility power ups. A polished game. There is some interaction with other space races. Sometimes you need to choose to help or not. Loot or not. Some loot might infect your space ship and instead of giving a buff, it has certain negative impact. There is a light story. If you play this game, you play for the looks, fun, It has a online rating who has the highest score. Can you belief it? I finished online score to highest but single player I did not finish yet. The game is short in terms of levels, it cycles certain amount of space locations. There are quiet an amount of enemies. All are very different. Bosses are also very unique. They put time and effort and creativity into it for sure. All in all, a solid space shooter. Euro 10 is a bit steep for a short game. But I bought it for a much lower price. In my opinion it is worth anywhere between euro 5~10. The creators do deserve you money. edit: 19 hours now. You can unlock total of 3 player ships. Each has it's own own play style. 2nd ship is fast but has lower laser range, much lower shield and armour. But has more starting amount of missiles. 3rd class is the ramming ship. Slow , but most robust. To unlock, reach the end of the game with every ship to receive the next one. Enemies and structures are unlocked after some time. You can view the 3D models in your game interface, which is nice. edit 24.3 hours: minor Spoiler below If the game asks you to use a weapon, you can choose to do or not do. it will give you an warning: save will be deleted. Please do make the correct choice, Because you only finished about 80% of the game.
