Playing Gothic 2 was a lot of fun again. The community mods via the Workshop really shine here. From controller support to graphics mods and additional bug fixes, everything is included. In terms of atmosphere, music, and depth, Gothic 2 surpasses its predecessor by a mile. The fact that you can also revisit the old locations from the first game is simply wonderful. No matter what you do, there's always action, conversation, and leveling. The dialogues are once again fantastic. The storyline is also very exciting. Seeing the people from the Swamp Camp, also known as the Smokers of the Sleeper God is fantastic, albeit in a slightly different form. Another advantage is that the game isn't overloaded. Simple, good, and straightforward. No one holds your hand, no arrows pointing you in the right direction. It's just you and the game in an open world with a wonderful soundtrack. The dialogues are, as is typical for Gothic, once again magnificent. I also recommend the Workshop Launcher Optimizer to use.

Unplayable jank of the highest order. Nothing about this game is endearing or passable. Piranha Bytes have always made the worst of the worst Eurojank, and not the endearing and charming kind.
