Game is pretty slow, but I do like the audio clips of the past. Had some interesting concepts. Mainly a walking Sim but did have some good flavor to it.
Ive had this game in my backlog since 2015, I knew it was going to be a rough play but go the feels hit hard.
Fun small puzzle exploration, nice way how the story unfolds.
I loved this game. One of the first walking simulators I played, I enjoyed exploring the house, reading/listening to the story bits. Also, the soundtrack was great! I'd only had the most peripheral awareness of the Riot Grrrl movement as a tween, but I enjoyed what was in the game as well the excellent background music! I loved it all. More than just the game, story, and music, though; Gone Home gave me huge amounts of nostalgia. It wasn't just the place (grew up in the Pacific Northwest), it was the time period. Playing the game felt like it was *I* that had gone home. Back to the early/mid 90s. Even forgetting the nostalgia, I think it's a good game, if a fairly short one.
