About

Godslayer Arena is a roguelike fusion of autobattlers and action-rpgs. The core gameplay loop revolves around drafting spells to synergize with each other, and figuring out where they should be placed.
You have no control once combat begins, and your survival will depend on the strength of the build you have drafted.
At its core, Godslayer Arena is a strategy game focusing on complex and deep spell interactions. Each run will test your understanding of the game's core systems.
Break the game. Min max your build. Become overpowered.

Before you begin each battle, you’ll be offered a selection of different spells that you can purchase through the spell shop. You’ll then be offered the choice of being able to refresh your shop for more spells, or to gain experience. The more experience you gain the higher your shop level will be, which in turn offers you a better chance of finder higher tier spells.
Each spell comes with a set of “traits”, which grant powerful effects if you equip enough unique spells of the same trait. Holding three of a kind will upgrade your spells to stronger versions of themselves.
Spells are cast from left to right and interact with each other in various ways, meaning the position of your spells matters a lot. For example, certain spells may fire damaging projectiles, and other support type spells can increase the amount of projectiles fired by those spells if you choose to place them next to each other. There are lots of different spell interactions which include increasing area of effect, granting bonus spellpower, increasing/lowering mana costs, autocasting/combo casting spells, bonuses to basic attacks and more.

Mastery cards further enhance your build by offering powerful spells unique to the class that you play as. These cards are only offered once per run and must be chosen carefully. Items provide unique build defining effects, and gems provided your spells powerful modifications.

Highly recommended (with a caveat)! Don't let the "Auto Battler" tag fool you into thinking this is boring. While the (short) battle segments are satisfying to watch but "hands-off", the build creation sections are very much "hands-on". The mana, spell, and gem systems are unique and interesting. While easy to understand, they allow you to build a huge variety of complex and satisfying builds. For me, this game has all the strategy and build creation elements I like while also scratching that old "ARPG" itch, without actually having to sit there and spam two or three keys over and over again, as one did in the olden times of ARPGs. The caveat: There currently is very little to no meta-progression. A few skills, weapons, and gems get unlocked as you gain the first ten levels and then there is nothing. Even these first few unlocks are barely noticeable. You get them so fast, and since you only get offered a small selection of the available upgrades each run, if the game didn't tell you these things were unlocked, you would never even notice they weren't there the whole time. I hope meta-progression will be added. Even without it, In my book, the game is still absolutely worth picking up right now for the gameplay alone, but it is something you should be aware of.
The game is Ok, 15E might be a bit expensive but on sale at 10 the price seems correct. A couple things that would make it better in my opinion: * Increase difficulty: in ~8h I have yet to lose a single life (I'm at difficulty 5 or 6 I think), why do we even have 4? * Giving the mastery after 5 levels kind of invalidate any choices made beforehand, which is weird. Maybe getting rid of the trait bonuses above 5 would force to play at least 2 spell traits, which would in turn mean you can start choosing a trait before the mastery choice AND fix the issue that right now it seems that it is pretty much always a correct choice to just pick all the spells of a single trait and ignore the rest, which lowers the interest of the choices and thus the replayability. * The possibility the increase further the speed at which the game autoplays, it takes a couple seconds per level to check the interactions but the level still plays for a couple minutes which is kind of a waste of time.
A perfect balance of 'Doing the same thing over and over again' that is fun and challenging. I could talk about the game itself, but I think what you want to know is; Will you have fun doing it? The answer is yes. I have 100% the game and looking forward to new characters/skills to do it again the next time around.
Extremely interesting and unique auto-battler roguelike. The arpg-like presentation and graphical style (UI/HUD included) are quite nice. I held off on this game thinking it was "dead" (as many others did), as, after a brief period of activity upon initial EA release, all activity came to a halt that lasted many months... but due to the game's fairly low price and just how interesting the game looked to me, I bought it anyway. IMO, it was definitely worth the $12-13 I bought it for even as it was, but now the developer has returned (i guess it was just a really rough time for them for a while), and the game has gotten a large content update and a flurry of minor patches in the last week or two. If you watch the trailer and THINK you'll like the game, you most likely will. The game is priced pretty well, and with the roadmap the dev has laid out this is definitely a solid recommend from me if you are into this kind of thing. My only disclaimer is that you will most likely be a little confused at the very start (first run or two) until you see how everything works. But just experimenting, without trying to read all the spells/traits, for your first 1-2 runs is quite fun and you should get the hang of it pretty quickly. Definitely seems like a "hard to master" kind of game, and that's a really good thing here. I can see the replayability factor being very high for most people who play these types of games.
一年了还在狂热2 快开无尽模式 我要砍爆
Good ♥♥♥♥
Imo the game is actually a 9/10, after some time the devs came back to support the game and do more updates.
