About

Vectorio is a base-building tower defense game set in cyberspace. Claim and collect resources, build automated supply chains with drones, research new technologies, and deploy powerful defenses to protect your base against a relentless and ever-growing onslaught of enemy forces.

No Belts. Only Drones.
In Vectorio, all logistics are handled through configurable drones that transport resources between buildings. Assign drones to resource clusters, set up delivery routes, and manage the flow of materials across your growing network. As your base expands, keeping your supply chains running smoothly becomes a real challenge in and of itself.

Engineering & Customization
Vectorio's Engineering system lets you modify buildings in ways that can change and improve how they function. Tweak stats and alter behaviors to make buildings work the way you want. Turrets, drones, collectors — nearly everything can be engineered, and no two bases will look or function the same way.

Infinite Free-Form Building
Your base exists on an infinite grid with no boundaries and no predetermined layout. Place buildings wherever you want and purchase new chunks of cyberspace to expand your territory in any direction. The only limit on how large your base can get is how well you can keep it supplied and defended.

Game Features:
Co-op Multiplayer: Build, automate, and defend together with friends
No Conveyor Belts: Automate everything through configurable drone networks
Research Tree: Over 30 techs to unlock and discover
Power Poles: Manage and distribute power across your base
Alternate Recipes: Discover new ways to produce resources and optimize your supply chains
Engineering: Modify how your buildings function to suit your playstyle
Quests & Lore: Uncover the evolving story behind ALTAR and the threats lurking in cyberspace

I have a couple of issues with the game. it's obviously a good game, i find myself wanting to play it and to see what's down the tech tree, but some things get in the way. - power lines are just super annoying to keep secure. early game is fine, you put a repeater and a shotgun and it keeps away saws and data wings. but as enemies get tougher, its super annoying having to defend every single power connector. i'm placing hundreds of these things to span the map between resource areas, its a lot to expect me to spend a minute or two on each one, then coming back to update it once i need to place another type of turret on it. my solution has just been to leave it with 2 or 3 turrets and spam walls whenever i hear the warning ding. - the game doesn't encourage building big. the bigger you build, the more power you'll need on defenses, and the more defenses you'll need against the stronger enemies. it's much more effective to just build small and treat it like an idle game. researching takes ages this way, but it's less of a headache. i can watch a youtube video and just tab back in to place more walls when i hear the ding, and wait for the research to tick along knowing i won't hear the disastrous noise of my base crumbling when the next enemy tier pops up without me realizing - there's no blueprinting/area copy paste. the best you can do is pipette using middle mouse, which copies the building, its recipes, a drone bay's assigned clusters. its fine for production areas, but they usually become just spamming down tons of drone bays for like 8 machines because drones are so bad. but the main problem with no blueprinting is i can't make defensive blueprints to paste around. this would be great for power connectors, if i made a blueprint with some walls and turrets, i can just paste that easily to expand safer. - lack of long distance item transport. the only option ive found so far is placing down just a ton of drones, like 30 drones. this is a problem because it makes a ton of heat for no real benefit. but i'm entirely reliant on map gen for closer nodes. if there was just like a bigger drone bay that spat out a really big drone that carried a load of stuff, maybe with a big minimum distance between clusters, that would be really great. -turret turn speed. often, even when i've defended an area, or hell even my main base, my turrets just don't turn fast enough to destroy a fast incoming enemy like the fighter, so despite that area consuming like 50 or 100 power worth of turrets, my walls are still breaking. it's just really dumb. this was even choosing turn speed upgrades for some of my turrets. i dont know if there's something i'm missing, i didnt unlock all of the techs, just got up to liquid blue star stuff in an effort to find a better logistics solution, researched the ammo stuff but wasnt interested in using it. the heat and power mechanics just make me not want to build at all and really drags the game out. perhaps the game just isn't for me, i'd like to hear someone else's viewpoint or how they solved the problems i describe in their game.

The game is really enjoyable, but I can't recommend it due to the insane amount of bugs, ranging from mildyly annoying - absolutely infuriating. 1. Game save - just doesnt save at points, lost massive amounts of progress due to autosave/manual save NOT working at all, which just leads to wanting to exit. 2. Drones not building for some reason. 3. Enemies spawning inside buildings - especially reclaimers. 4. Not being able to build/edit/do anything for some reason. 5. Multiplayer issues. It is really fun, but these bugs (especially the saving not working) just make it horrible, compiled with the lack of updates and/or correspondence.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unplayable ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ensues because the enemy on normal settings is GOING THROUGH MY DOUBLE LAYERED WALLS. the 2500 heat enemy, is straight up, GOING THROUGH MY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WALLS BY CLIPPING THROUGH THEM.
I'm unhappy with the rate of developement, and possible undefined scope of the game. I bought this after having tons of fun with Vectorio Classic, for free, but this was never as good as classic. I expected lots of small updates, as the game is pretty straight forward, but it hasnt been updated in 13 months. Communication seems to be 1 good dev blog a year, but i dont know if it can even be trusted. Despite having a roadmap post, and details of whats coming, the patches just are absent. Over a year ago he said "There's more to come with this update, and this is just the start of a long line of updates planned to come out over the course of the next year." followed by nothing. Even if the next update comes out tomorrow; when is the one after that? 6 months, 12 months 18 months? Based on him restarting the project once already, i'm really concerned that hes just doing fluff and optional refactors, and not finishing the meat of the game. Eventually the polished cool stuff will build up, and lead to set of overwhelming tech issues, preventing him from wanting to work on the game. The game idea is cool: Tower defense with resource extracting/minor RTS elements. But the development looks like its more about chasing some perfect product, instead of getting straight forward gameplay to people who want to buy the game.
Vectorio classic is just better in every way, it lacks content and the last update was 14 months ago as of this review.
I rarely leave negative reviews. This game needs something more. maybe transport belts or roads to visibly transport goods could help... I actually fell asleep while playing it. Keep it up... Early access means you can still work to make a great game! :)
this is a great resource management and tower defense game. its easy to pick up on but doesn't hold your hand with tutorials every 5 minutes because it doesn't need to. the only thing that could be a deal breaker is not knowing your input and output times or amounts. my advise, build more transport drones than you think you'll need. its a good balance of simplicity and complexity. the more complex your management is, the faster you'll progress
It's been at least 3 years and developer still can't fix basic multiplayer desyncronization, rendering this feature unplayable. Single player is not fun enough, so you better off playin some other factory management game until author decides to learn how to write proper netcode
not fun
game not finished so not worth buying
