Good lil tactical game with some strategy involved
I enjoyed this game very much. The story was different and original, music was great and the cutscene art was magnificent. Towards the final stages of the game I started to use a lot of shenanigans and godless tactics. Even after finishing the story I still feel very attached to it due to its depth and lore. I would absolutely recommend this game!
This game has some fantastic features that make it instantly worth playing in my opinion. The game consists of two modes, a strategic map with elements that remind me a lot of Mount and Blade, along with the tactical battle mode which is very similar to the Fire Emblem games, but with massive quality of life improvements. For me, the biggest draw to this game is that it rewards you for playing it, regardless of what exactly you choose to do. It doesn't waste your time, and it has some UI and time-saving gameplay features which really should be default in the strategy genre. My favorite such feature is probably the ability to auto-resolve battles in mid-combat, but in a close second comes the idea of "auto-resolve safe" battles. Basically, every battle in the game is rated from 1-10 stars in difficulty and if a fight is at 1 star, you can auto-resolve it with a guarantee it won't kill any of your party members. But since you can auto-resolve in mid-battle, if you start a fight that has, say, 4 stars, if you kill enough people, the game will track the difficulty of the remaining fight, and if you can reduce it to the safe threshold (1, at the start of the game, but it goes up to 3 by late game), you can then auto-resolve it safely from that point. I used this feature almost every time I had the option, but you are rewarded for taking the time to kill enemies manually (you get more XP for manual kills). Honestly, there are a lot of things like that in this game, both in terms of specific mechanics and in terms of the design philosophy. There are some brilliant choices that have been made in the creation of this game, and I hope that it becomes more popular, if only so larger game developers might actually get exposed to plainly good, innovative design.

Really fun combination of Fire Emblem and a 4x with a unique setting. Only cons I could think of would be diversity in unit icons, give us more little armymans!
Amazing stuff. I've beaten it several times and still find it fun to run a few battles or conquer a few cities. 10/10
The battles get repetitive, and that's pretty much all this game has. But it's a good thing to play while you're listening to podcasts.
.
Interesting concept, sadly the developer stopped working on it
