About
The world was once a bright and beautiful place, filled with light and wonder. But one day, an evil force swept across the land, stealing away the world's light and plunging it into darkness. As a result, chaos and destruction spread across the world, and many feared that the darkness would never end.

In this action roguelike, survive hordes of monsters on every level with automatic weapon attacks. Dodge and collect loot to improve your chances in the next round. It's all about strategy, reflexes, and smart movement.

Collecting weapons and accessories and strategically organizing them in your inventory is crucial to your survival. Your inventory space is limited, hence before putting in a new item, you'll need to consider its strengths and weaknesses and how it fits into your overall strategy.
Careful management of your inventory can make the difference between victory and defeat. As you progress through the game, you will amass an arsenal of powerful weapons and accessories, making you an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.

Brotato x Backpack Dungeon. Its OK
boring asf
I can't stand the inventory management, its clunky, slow, and just god awful. Literally a game about building and managing a backpack - looks like they spent as little time on it they possibly could.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Honestly for $6 this is worth playing. I got it in a bundle of other survivor/bullet heaven games and this one felt like one of the less generic ones in the bundle. If you don't like survivor WASD auto-shooting games, then you probably won't like this since that is the core gameplay loop. The combat itself isn't anything especially engaging, but I found the inventory management to be fairly interesting even though I'm not normally into games where that is the primary mechanic. It is fun enough to reroll and try to get as synergistic of a build as possible and try to live long enough to move onto the next round. It seems like there's a pretty decent amount of unlockable characters, etc. to keep give you things to do and to make different builds. If you're a fan of any of the genres that this game mixes together, I think you'll find something to enjoy.
Really well done isometric roguelike, based on inventory management and VS style gameplay. I never played that other backpack battler game, but this one is very fun without being too tedious. Once you get a hang of the game, it becomes very addictive, with play sessions lasting between 30-60 minutes I think. There's around 8-10 classes you can unlock and its very satisfying as each one plays slightly differently, with 3 subclasses. I've got 30 hours in this and still playing, so it was definitely worth it for me. According to the recent patch notes, it also did not before have a "Save Progress" feature, but they have since added it. It's a really great COL improvement in an already nice game!
A good and fun vampire survivor like with backpack hero mechanics. The different classes are fun to experiment with and offer some variety, somewhat reminiscent of the roster diversity found in Brotato. Also the inventory management is well done (tho it does take a lot of time to optimise everything). That said, the classes never feel distinct enough from one another. While they have different starting points and characteristics, they lack the kind of extreme strengths, weaknesses, and unique mechanics that made, for example, Balatro classes so fun to play with. I would have preferred fewer classes overall, but with much more pronounced identities and gameplay concepts. The item system suffers from a similar issue. There are synergies and interactions, but most of them are fairly straightforward and limited in scope. Too many interactions boil down to simple adjacency effects like “+10% lifesteal for every adjacent item.” or (+3 projectile damage for the items withing the tiles affected by this gem". I would have loved to see more imaginative item interactions for more depth and replayability. The maps are another weak point. They are quite small and offer very little to do beyond the core combat loop. There is no story, meaningful characters, or world-building to engage with, which is fine for this genre, but unfortunately the meta-progression is also fairly underwhelming. As a result, there isn't much outside of the runs themselves to keep you invested long-term. My biggest criticism, however, is the game's balance and pacing. It's simply too easy, and runs drag on for far too long. I have around 9.5 hours of playtime atm, and my longest run, which was only my fourth run, if I remember correctly, lasted nearly four hours (Difficulty III). While I could have ended it earlier at Floor 20 (last boss like Balatro), reaching that point already took roughly 1.5 to 2 hours, which feels excessive. I continued because I was farming achievements and it definitely felt like grindy farming. However, despite these shortcomings, let's remember that this game is 5 bucks. For that amount, it's very easy to get your money's worth, especially if you're new to the survivor-like genre. It's a relaxing game to play while listening to a podcast, music, or a video in the background, and I had a good time with it overall. (I’ve noticed that I’ve been a bit harsher on games lately, probably because I’m going through a phase where I’m less excited about playing video games in general. which may be affecting my enjoyment of them and thus my reviews.) I would have liked more from this game, sure, but considering the price tag, it's hard to complain too much. It's a good game, offers plenty of entertainment for the cost, and is easy to recommend to fans of the genre or newcomers that wanna have an affordable good time. PS : I'm not sure how well this game would run on a cheap gaming PC. It was fine with my 7800X3D and RX9070XT but even then I had some dips in FPS. So be aware of that and maybe look at some benchmark on youtube before buying!
Из плюсов можно только отметить визуальный стиль и вариативность персонажей. Играть можно этажа до 50+- дальше нагрузка на систему возрастает с каждым уровнем. И к 150 этажу у вас будет +- 5 fps. Не рекомендую
Pros: Good concept fun inventory mechanic THATS IT Cons: GAMEPLAY REPITIVE AF even thought have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of weapons and characters which is dope but wasn't applied correctly in my opinion playable for like 3-8 hours not more tbh COULD BE WRONG but i aint giving it another chance for a a while.
