About
From Santa Monica Studio and brought to PC in partnership with Jetpack Interactive comes God of War Ragnarök, an epic and heartfelt journey that follows Kratos and Atreus as they struggle with holding on and letting go.
The sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018), God of War Ragnarök picks up with Fimbulwinter well underway. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Odin’s forces in Asgard prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world.
Along the way, they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. As the threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer, Kratos and Atreus must choose between the safety of their family and the safety of the realms.
Atreus seeks knowledge to help him understand the prophecy of “Loki” and establish his role in Ragnarök. Kratos must decide whether he will be chained by the fear of repeating his mistakes or break free of his past to be the father Atreus needs.
The Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos, and Guardian Shield return alongside a host of new abilities for both Kratos and Atreus. Kratos’ deadly Spartan skills will be tested like never before as he battles gods and monsters across Nine Realms to protect his family.
Journey through dangerous and stunning landscapes as Kratos and Atreus search for answers.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 1: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Amazing game once again. I cried my eyes out, Atreus and Kratos' journey is truly one of the most compelling ones out there. A story of who you were, and who you choose the be. There are so many lessons in this game is you pay attention to them. Great fighting, great story, great environment, and great vibes all around. Can't wait for the remakes of 1-3 and the new Laufey game. However, I will say. ♥♥♥♥ those Beserkers. I ain't killing them, I'd prefer not having a stroke from a popped blood vessel in the brain.
Juegazo, supera en todo al GOW de 2018, y el DLC te da unas horitas extra de contenido, cómpralo, no te arrepentirás.
ok
after all the build-up, it leads to anti-climatic ending. some main plot serve nothing and leaves into huge plothole. Valhalla DLC only Roguelike slop abd loredumping. annoying side characters that won't shut up this game would be great if separated as 2 parts where part 2, the real Ragnarok itself serve as a closing reboot trilogy
Intro
The successor of the 2018's GOTY - God of War: Ragnarok - brings up a new challenge and here I'll be break down all of my thoughts and tidbits surrounding this anticipated continuation.

Improvements
Ragnarok improves and enhances quite a large number of game-set mechanics, visuals, audio and overall gameplay feeling. More armors. More customizations. More layouts and locations in the realms. Much more than improved I'm thinking "enhanced" and in some departments I wouldn't necessarily say for better. All in all - the idea was not to change something that works. Still, I would appreciate a bit more experimenting since I rather felt it was an expansion to the 2018 game concerning the gameplay loop. There are as well improvements in the animations, cinematics and overall graphics which meet the high-above industry standards.
Level design and realm design
Oh boy, I'm bored. And maybe not bored because it's not good, but rather that it's a bit too repetitive, not too challenging, not too entertaining. Some locations you could just call Playstation trademark exclusive, because you can see a mile away how the level is gonna go. You are reminded at various points in the story that there are completely optional locations. To me they feel way too detached from the realms, although fun, exciting and most importantly rewarding. Navigation is all over the place and you WILL feel like a lab rat in some cases. Some puzzles were good. They would be GREAT if I had to solve them on my own, rather than everyone involved telling me what to do. Some loot or locations are often hid behind an obstacle, that you can get through only after progressing the story. I'm not quite convinced this a good thing, if you don't bring ANY OTHER REASON to go back there whatsoever. Realms feel, on the other hand, very refreshing. Every single one is different. Glowing with a nice pallete of colours is a standard. There is nine of them, though only 5 or 6 you can call the full package. You don't like jungle? Fine, let's throw you into a desert. Or maybe you fancy some winter vibes?
Audio and soundtrack
Spot on. The axe, the blades - once you hear them you know those aren't some Walmart plastic toys. Same goes for everything else. A snow, fireplace, birds. Audio is the underrated immersion element, which this game does NOT lack at all. Soundtrack is well organized. Peaceful, aggressive, curious. Not much to point out here, other than that I enjoyed it.
Graphics and performance
I don't quite remember a game, where I was looking for a screenshot button for so many times. The scenery - a thing of beauty. The VFX still stands as one of my favourites in videogame industry. Unlike the 2018 God of War port, this one runs mostly smooth. With frame-gen I was quite satisfied. Though I don't know why the game had to compile all the shaders like three times (making it unbearably stuttery).
Gameplay
The same old, brutal, breathtaking Kratos cutting through everything standing in his way. There's a wide variety of builds, from what I understand, and a wide variety of weapons. Enemies are sadly very repeating. Animations help build the tempo and tension. Gore is utmost satisfying. Yeah, and there is a TON of lootable chests! Controls are all over the place on PC. You can get used to it, but your palms will be all over the keyboard trying to do so. What I can say is that the game feels very responsive. The previous title felt way more sloppy. Controlling Atreus was not touched at all, which is a shame. I could almost spend an entire day drifting in the snow with the sledges!
Atreus gameplay
As marketed - you will be able (or forced, if you will) to play as Atreus in certain parts of the game. I'm gonna be honest - I don't like it. It's not that I hate it in particular, but it feels way too shallow. Combat is generic and customizations are not enough to invest the effort in. Alongside with the fact, that you won't be able to swap between Kratos and Atreus mid-fight just makes me not wanting to engage with Atreus at all. Missed shot here, because the potential is there.
Story
NO SPOILERS. Important to say it's the usual linear story. It delivers. It's not something that I would dream about too much, but it delivers. Emotions, twists, anger - it's all there and I don't think I encountered much nonsense. Characters and acting feel real and alongside with the fluent jump-in cinematics make the story feel very refreshing. There are a few unnecessary slowdown moments. Don't get me started on the Aliexpress Zendaya arc (this is not a spoiler due to my highly intelligent description). But that's about it. Ending is not too rushed.
User interface
I'm not gonna go into too much detail, but the game is made for Playstation and it shows - it's stupid. HUD is fine - great even, but the pause menu with inventory, abilities, journal and a map is disgustingly horrendous and sloppy. Might as well let it slide, since it's a PC port, but I felt the need to mention it. It's different from the 2018 God of War, I get it, but I can't help myself feeling like it's a downgrade. The amount of accessibility settings is a very nice touch.

List of issues
- Balancing (even after putting it higher midway through the game) - Idle animations (for the love of Kratos, make him look at least a bit less goofy just standing) - Loading times (I understand a realm to a different realm loading, but realm to the same realm just behind the corner?, also this could also be just my low end station) - Maybe a bit too much variety in weapons, skills and artifacts (?). Feels a bit too overwhelming. - Inventory, crafting, navigating through the map, trying to find a quest in a journal, trying to level up a skill - Completionist playthrough completely breaks the "economy" system - I'M NOT STUPID NOR FROM IGN DON'T TELL ME HOW TO SOLVE A PUZZLE I WANT TO SOLVE IT MYSELF
Conclusion
I want to like it. I do like it. I just don't like it enough to give it too much of a credit. The game alone feels very similar to 2018 God of War with a few cherries on top. It's beautiful, engaging and fun. For the money I WOULD recommend you to play this, yet I would advise not to expect a wonderland continuation in case you're die-hard God of War fan. The game lost it's 2018's charm for me half-way through. But that doesn't make it bad. It's almost as if it tried breaking from being linear, but halfway through just gave up. There are a few high highs, yet too many mid mids and those are mostly in the fields, where I would most surely expect innovation. 80/100

Лучшая игра в которую я когда либо играл. Цена оправданна.
As a brand new father... this game made me weep. 10/10
