Goblin Buster: Incremental Tower Defense

Solid little tower defense game with charm. The progression system with the skill tree and town upgrades keeps things engaging, and experimenting with tower + relic combos is genuinely fun. It's on the shorter side, but not really worth the price for what you get. If you're looking to get more out of it, I'd recommend checking out the mods. The QoL mod at https://thunderstore.io/c/goblin-buster/p/MilkyTeam/QoLMod/ adds some nice quality of life improvements that smooth out the experience. Hope the dev keeps updating it — there's a good foundation here for more content.

Game as been nerfed to the ground, then abandonned. So if you do purchase it, don't expect to be able to play all the map. the last few ones are almost impossible, thus the last achievement isn't realistically obtainable.

[/b] [h1] Pro: [/h1] - Skilltree - Schöne Türme, die abgesehen vom Monolithen auch alle gut zu nutzen und sinnvoll waren - Zusätzlich gibt es eine kleine Stadt, die Rohstoffe und Verbesserungen zur Verfügung stellt. [h1] Kontra: [/h1] - Immer wieder (ca 5 – 6 Stunden) Level 5 im Abschnitt 1 spielen, bis man genügend Verbesserungen hat den Endboss zu besiegen. [h1] Für Erfolgsjäger: [/h1] 100% durchs reine durchspielen. [h1] Fazit[/h1] Unterm Strich war es ziemlich langweilig, weil man immer wieder das gleiche Level spielen musste, bis man gut genug war. Aber es ist eben ein kleines Spiel für wenig Geld. Es hat ein Skilltree, schöne Türme und zusätzlich eine kleine Stadt, weswegen ich es empfehle. Wer nicht immer das gleiche Level spielen will, sollte einen Bogen um das Spiel machen.

Short game with some varying difficulty, some of the towers don't feel very useful but that is very likely due to my preferences on how I build my setups in tower games. Only one level feels like a hard damage check (mines 1) but overall not a very difficult game that if you are decent at tower defense games this is a fairly simple 100%. Wish there were more achievements to force me to grind out more stuff but overall a fairly priced game with some decent content and likely some updates on the horizon.

After playing this game for a bit, I can't recommend it right now. It lacks a lot of polish and balancing. The lack of quality of life and the inconsistencies are one thing, but the cost for upgrade nodes and the order often make no sense. A mana upgrade that's so expensive (because it uses gems) I will have bought all mana upgrades long before I get the gems. Harder maps giving you less gems. The loot buff that does not affect gems, the only resource you really lack all the time. The magic academy, where you can more quickly find and buy buffs for than you can actually buy the academy. And so many more. And I personally find the scrolling on the maps quite annoying. If the developer cares and polishes this, I am sure it can be a fun game.
