About
Gloomwood is a stealth horror FPS that follows your mysterious abduction to a forgotten, twisted Victorian metropolis in the midst of a horrifying transformation. Wield your canesword and take to the shadows as you uncover the accursed mystery hidden within the fog.
The producers of DUSK, AMID EVIL, ULTRAKILL and FAITH bring you a frightening, gothic immersive sim full of haunted streets, dark tunnels and decadent mansions.
An intricate, hand-crafted city with freeform exploration - from towering rooftops down to hidden passages, the routes you take and paths you make, are your choice.
A detailed stealth and sound system that tracks your light visibility and propagates noise accurately through the world. Tread lightly. Or prepare to get loud.
A unique arsenal to meet any situation - a stealthy canesword, six-shot revolver, folding shotgun, hand-placed traps, rope-slinging harpoon rifle and more.
In-depth player interactivity, from leaning to eavesdrop, peeking through door cracks, checking the bullets in your firearms and mantling onto ledges.
A mob of ghastly denizens and monsters with acute senses, like the sharp-clawed Crowmen and the fearsome, cadaver-seeking Corpse Duster.
Gloomwood is full of objects to pick up, throw, climb, smash and use to your advantage.
There is more to this city than you can possibly imagine...

This might be the best game I've ever played. It has a amazing story with such a good atmosphere, and what I mean by good atmosphere is that there is no music just the noises around you. It also has fun enemy's to go against like the goat man and those dogs, the dialogue from the dudes in red ( I forgot their names) is so good. anyway is game is so good i might just ♥♥♥ everywhere. anyway if your seeing this, the game is completely worth the money and I would compare this to other games I've loved like GoT or red dead. it also has so much to offer, I always explore every part of any game i play and you can tell the devs put there heart and soul into gloom wood and I fully recommend.
Yeeeeep it'll scratch that itch. That Dishonored, Thief, itch. Yknow the one where the world feels somewhat alive. Or at least *lived in.* ImSim vibes. Good Bloodborne too. GloomWood blends direct yet dramatic mechanics to provide a surge of excitement. For example, traveling throughout an area until you find a lever and *click* secret tunnel near the start of the level, right under your nose or the controls to a gate. It's nothing new, but seeing how each shortcut falls into place making not only the immediate area but the whole city larger *and more easily traversed.* Or maybe getting a new tool and seeing how much of the world I wasn't aware of and how my perception changed. The world does a good job of telling stories naturally. Building connections, tunnels, environmental storytelling/posing, random holes in buildings, etc. Tack this on to some cosmic horror, Victorian hunter vibes with corpse recovery, testing, disposal.... and creating serums (to take on temporary "changes") while learning more about the beasts of this plagued city and the forces at play. If you're already interested in it, it's probably the type of game you'll like.
The moment I unlocked the bonesaw I found the mere concept of cutting up and analyzing a dead goatman so captivating that I immediately backtracked to the (I must admit slightly bad) encounter in the tavern. Ignoring the fact that gore of all thing gives me a dopamine rush, this game is incredibly atomospheric and the slow gameplay ties perfectly into exploration aswell as admiring the world surrounding you.
Probably one of the best games I've ever played, I am obsessed with learning more about the world and experiencing every single new update that the dev team has planned. Even in its current state of early access, I 100% endorse this game's content, especially with the new Hightown District. The soundtrack is also incredible in this game, I highly recommend listening to it.
This game is what got me into stealth sim games. As another reviewer already pointed out this game has the looks/style/feel of an older game yet it controls like a modern one. This game rewards creative play and does not hold your hand which I prefer. If you find yourself growing tired of modern games that seem to guide you throughout the story then give this one a try! Stealth system feels great, easy to distract and reroute guards, and there are enough corners and spots to hide in without it feeling like you have to backtrack the whole map to escape a surprise encounter. Because of this game I started playing the thief games and this game feels like a love letter to Thief Gold. For the price this game is an easy buy if you have been interested in checking this game out. A warning though, there is a bit of time in between updates. I played this thing fully multiples times when it was new and now am playing other games until this game reaches a full release probably. But that does not diminish my love of this game
Very fun, cut human, human become serum i make, i use serum, serum feel good.
