Glass Heart: Retold

Having played both the original and the the remake, I can confidently say that the newer version is my favorite between the two. As a disclaimer, I played all the routes for the original and so far, only my favorite ros (my bois Jay and Nathan) in the remake. Between the two, I'd say go for the original if you prefer more drama (like a soap opera at times) that leans on its tropes and love rivals in the story, and as a bonus, has two (one cute/fluffy and one steamy) short after stories for each route that the remake does not have. The remake is a bit longer and I personally enjoyed the more down to earth, mature tone it had. I personally found the newer version of the story more polished and nuanced. It can be cheesy at times, but it has a lot of heart. The art is beautiful and the remake has all the cgs it had in the original plus additional ones exclusive to the remake but since the plot for each route differs, the context for the cg changes, which was fun to notice. The voice acting was also of good quality and I thought they all sounded natural. Overall, I recommend Glass Heart!

i am a HUGE fan of angst romance! I havnt played the original game, i started with retold and i gotta tell ya i loved every minute of this game. Eli is forever my bias, i mean just the fact that you get to hear your song together is amazing, what sealed the deal though is his bad ending im sorry but it was angst at its finest. I will say i saved Tamaki towards the end since his appearance is linked to a lot of my cinnamon roll favorites and was completely blindsided by what happened. All routes are fantastic and some seemed more cannon then others but hey the heart wants what it wants.

打完了，原版和重置版都打过了，基本上重置版确实优化了不少。 最重要的优化是剧情，剧情线更加流畅合理了，但是有些地方更喜欢原版一些；另外，系统确实也流畅了不少、CG也因为剧情线改动挺大的，制作组用心了，好评。 不过重置版主线结束了就结束了，没有原版的两个福利番外，打完了我又去原版看了两个福利番外；此外，原版在剧情进行中meira的日记也有所变化，这点是重置版没有的；还有进入CG的方式，我非常喜欢原版进入CG是大家的合照，点击一位男主的CG还会有对方的语音留言这样的设计；最后原版通关以后章节可选，这点重置版也没有，这几点感觉有些遗憾。 总体上是诚意十足的重置版，值得一个好评，对于已经玩过旧版的玩家，我依然推荐玩重置版。 此外， [b] I WANT LI LIANG 'S DLC PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! [/b] 接下来我想说的是几位男主的剧情线（涉及剧透——） ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- nathan 这位典型的王子人设的剧情线我觉得是优化非常大的，看来制作组有认真关心玩家的评价。剧情线比原版合理流畅了不少，没有原版那么让人犯困了。而且也没有像原版一样遮遮掩掩，甚至纵容恶毒女配伤害女主，原版他就像是什么都做不了只会事后愤怒的傻瓜（此处有点夸张），重置版让他的人格魅力凸显了出来，他大大方方的示爱也是让我在这条线提升了不少好感度。 jay 我得说，这条线甚至甚至没有原版好，剧本显得很不协调，前面好几章都是他和女主甜蜜拉扯，然后高潮全在最后，大概是大幅度改了恶毒女配的剧情，甚至感觉没发生什么就结束了，而且jay在这条线几乎全是靠女配带飞，如果不是原恶毒女配良心发现提醒他，他甚至什么都不会发现，还沉醉于和女主的拉扯（还是有点油的那种），我只能说，这条线丰富了女配的魅力但是单薄了jay，甚至连meira都像个傻瓜，整条线玩下来还没女配给我的感觉深刻。可能是跟剧情主线有关系吧，看起来没什么凸显jay的地方，唉，还是更喜欢原版。 tamaki 我还是很爱你，这条线让剧情合理了不少，tamaki荣升帮派老大，好爱Charlotte，大姐姐让我抱抱！不过大事件没什么大变化，但是让故事的发展更加合理了，也并不强行，俩人爱情发展也很流畅，算是有所优化的一条线。 will 你真的是天使，你的死亡路线比原版更自然一些，但我还是更爱你好兄弟，但你跟meira真的很配，能看得出来，你在身边meira真的很自然很快乐，你比原版更坚定一些，很不错。（但还是更爱好兄弟） brayson 你和tamaki现在是这游戏里我的最爱，真的有种被雨淋湿的小狗的感觉，之前就被你要在will be结局后才能攻略狠狠惊艳到，在这条线里将你轻浮下敏感而又忠诚的内里表现得淋漓尽致，又被你靠谱到，你跟（will死后）的meira真的再合适不过了，你俩一起打游戏那段真是看的我嘴角都压不下去了，总之就是爱到。不过美中不足的是，让will托梦你俩才能顺理成章走到一起这一点让我觉得有点可惜，我更喜欢你和女主历经挣扎，互相扶持，即使will不托梦都要在一起，一起背负这种负担也要坚定地一起幸福的决心这样的路线，不过现在这样也不错。 eli还没打完，打完了有空再说说吧。

So if you liked the OG then you will enjoy this update engine and reworked stories. Most routes get more depth and better more grounded characters. Will you still cry and sob through out, yes probably. Are the bad endings bad? I don't this so more bittersweet or sad, than bad. The voice acting is still top notch. I love that Meria now has some VA lines. I adore this game and their creators.

I have so many thoughts about this game but I will try to keep it short!! I am REALLY bad at picking favorites but if I had too for this game I think it would be Eli, his route and connection with Meira felt so natural and real despite the fact that he's the *idol* which I feel speaks volumes (I also have a weakness for characters with his kind of personality however, so I AM biased lol). I LOVED that the other characters knew each other and had unique relationships and dynamics with each other as well, any time Bray and Will are together you know you are in for the MOST chaotic time (also the way you unlock Bray's route is absolutely DIABOLICAL and i hate/love the devs for it ;-;)! Also It is CRIMINAL that Li Liang doesn't have a route however, he would have made such an interesting LI! There are plenty of times where the routes can get kinda trope-y, there's some weird pacing here and there, some of the routes can feel a little same-y (especially if you do them in a certain order) but overall I had a very enjoyable experience and would easily recommend this game!

This game was just amazing. Jay is definitely my fav guy but Eli's route was the best to play! It's criminal that neither Charlotte nor Li Liang have a route, I'd pay top dollar for either.

It's a nice game. Definitely soap opera style with a lot of crazy stuff throughout. But, a lot of fun. One of the best English language otome style games, I have played. I also played the original. This is an excellent update to the original.
