Everything about the game is superb, but.. My only complaint is that the overall narrative gets in its own way trying to be hip, and fresh. I just wanted spoopy..

I remember playing the first game years ago. I liked Tyrone, I loved the concept. And this game pretty much exceeded the 1st one by far. It has 4 chapters which gives you a story of the cast's adventures and story. Makes you wish there are more. It has nice world building, great characters and the art and voice acting is top notch. I sincerely hope there's more to this series.

If you played and liked the first one, you'll like this one too. If you haven't played the first one.. it's high quality and free, and please do check it out. Neat art, good voice acting, especially for an ELVN, interesting effects, good writing, and interesting characters. I do wish there was more of Tyrone? but maybe if there's another one it'll focus some on him. Really liked seeing more Ripley and learning about her.

I looked forward to playing this game for soooo long, but it jusd doesn't work for me. Sad

Very good VN. Fully voice acted with good actors, an interesting art style that gives off a very chilling atmosphere, and some amazing music. It's a breath of fresh air compared to other western VNs.

10/10 Art, amazing, characters, hell that made me love a guy who says 'brah?' that is a feat, story love me a good kinda mystery! As soon as I heard the voice acting begin I was like 'ok...this might be horrible or great' and thank goodness it was EXCELLENT quality voice acting.

Absolutely charming game that deserves more attention. The art style is vibrant and beautiful, and there are plenty of backgrounds, CGs, cutscenes and voice acting that it almost feels like you're watching a hybrid of a Visual Novel and a full-on animated movie, as opposed to most other VNs which tend to be pretty "still". Since it's a VN, there isn't too much in the way of gameplay aside from reading, clicking and the occasional choice between 2-5 options, but the game still makes for an incredibly fun and immersive experience. The characters are pretty great and all have their own unique charm to them, with the back-and-forth between Jill, the protagonist, and Owen, the ghost of a 90's frat bro who's taken up haunting her, being an especially fun dynamic. There's four stories in total, all of varying lengths, with my favorites being "Misty Mournings", the main story of the game and the longest, and "Garage Reverie", which is a shorter but very nostalgic/relaxing slice-of-life style vignette featuring the characters when they're not on ghost adventures. The game does include some creepy scenes and sometimes deals with more serious themes, but for the most part it's fairly light and comedic, perfect for those who enjoy stories about ghosts and the supernatural with a lighter tone. For those who played PotD 1, this features most of the same characters but in a longer and more polished gaming experience. For those who haven't played it yet, I recommend checking it out first since it's free. Hoping to see more episodes or a Part 3 in the future, especially since there's definitely still unexplored set-up for more stories with these characters.

This game is fantabuluos. Well game might be over-stating things. A visual novel with a few choices thrown in the mix. But that aside, I love it. This (let's go with game) game is just oozing with charm. From the delighful voice-acting to the mesmerizing visuals to the lovable characters and oddball humor there is really nothing that I personally dislike about it. Ofcourse, as I said it's more a visual novel than a game so it's a pretty hands-off experience, the dialogue stays on screen until you manually click forward and the choices are well... robbed of tension seeing as you can at any time click backwards on the dialogue as well. So it's not the most thrilling or challanging use of your time. Still that's more of a preference thing than actual critique. If like me you like fun characters in a creative setting with charm out the wazoo then this is right up your alley. Summary: great game, love this game

I adore this game. I'm normally very hesitant about buying English VNs as they often feel overly hammy or forced compared to their Japanese counterparts, but Perceptions nails it. The setting's unique, with enough details to hook you in but enough mysteries to keep you wondering. The cast is the real star, though, as all of the main 5 are super memorable characters with some great interactions. And the voice acting, good lord. It's phenomenal and adds so much life to the characters. There's none of the stiffness of voice or writing that a lot of other English VNs have. Something else I think worth pointing out - I'm normally a fan of the "dollar per hour" rule, but I think that Perceptions is high quality enough that it's more than worth it at full price. The additional stories added in over time have been great at flushing out the characters, as well as Garage Reverie dealing with some heavier topics through nuanced and careful, yet realistic writing. I've come back every few months just to re-read that one because it puts me in a good headspace to deal with the rest of the world. Can't recommend it highly enough.
