The gameplay and graphic is great. Hoping to have more stuff as the game go on
Overall, it's a decent game for an early access, but need more efforts, and time I guess. You should try demo first before buying. Its combat style is definitely something else (something that I have to look more into, because this is not my style of playing) Navigation in-mission and pacing need more polish. Having hints and tutorials thrown at me in the middle of combat is very annoying. Also the game needs a dedicated menu for tutorials, not just in-mission.
Great game, super fun. The controls are pretty responsive and I enjoyed the early difficulty spike which made the game more engaging. There were some noticeable frame dips in missions 5 and 6, but I'm sure that will get cleaned up by the devs. Can't wait for mor additions to the game.
very cool visual and sound design
Pretty fun game that I enjoyed my time playing through what was available at the moment. My favorite mech was the AG-52B ARGUS with being able to mow down enemies using a maxxed out Mini Gun and Homing Missile automatically turned on. For how much I enjoyed the game I do have a couple issues that I hope will get changed/fixed in future updates 1. The input method for controller switches to keyboard and mouse every couple button presses, leading to a fair amount of misinputs when selecting sync upgrades or changing a weapon from manual to auto 2. Some text being near impossible to read because its too small, specifically for selecting what type of build you want your mech to have. I play on a steam deck docked to my tv and its impossible to read on either the tv or the deck itself and its only slightly legible if I'm looking very close at my laptop screen. I hope this gets changed so that you can select what size text you can have rather than straining your eyes trying to read what stats change for your mech or reading a description a sync upgrade ability has. Besides those issues, I really enjoyed whats here and am looking forward to what future updates the devs have for this game
Fun game love the simplicity of it. Scratches the itch of a mech game without paying $70 nowadays.
The gameplay is solid. The starting mecha "MACHINA" is versatile enough to accomplish even the "very hard" missions. There is an "auto-aim" function, however, "manual-aim" allows for more efficient "AOE" kills even with the basic primary weapons. The latter being more useful to focus fire on key objectives. Surprisingly, the stage "boss" unit/s are fun to engage with. Deceivingly strong at first glance, the stage "boss" units have easy to understand patterns and weaknesses. Prioritize "Utility" and "Defensive" upgrades first. The "rogue-like" abilities when leveling up offers fun options on how to deal with swarms of enemies. Abilities like Magnetic Field being my favorite method of negate/deflect incoming projectiles. When researching for new primary weapons, it is described which mecha is able to equip it. Example, "Railgun" is exclusive to "Aerial" at the moment. The only negative thing in this "early access" version of Gigantes Ex Machina, is the "Flame Thrower", it's the most ineffective primary weapon in this game. You'd expect to spray flames on the battlefield to melt enemies in pools or pillars of fire, but, there is no such environment interaction. All other researchable primary weapons are leagues above the "Flame Thrower" in terms of combat performance.
