Giana Sisters 2D

A worthy tribute to a legendary C64 classic. Runs flawlessly on Steam Deck, though the menus are a bit difficult, with which icon currently selected being unclear. The worthless achievements are pretty ridiculous, though.

Giana Sisters 2D feels like a Mario game but kind of harder in a way. I enjoyed it but sometimes i did get upset. 8/10

Some reviews are complainning that this game is a remake of the DS game. What's the matter if it is? Yes, the name doesn't give a clue it is a remake, but whatever. The graphic, sound and controlability are well designed in this remake. This is a very easy game to play with no stress, excet when you reach the two last islands. The difficult turns from very easy to very hard. Small steps in the edge of surfaces, jumping not at max height, keeping Punk powerup are some skills that will be required in the last islands.

Pro - viele schöne und kurzweilige Levels - kurze Bosskämpfe ( ich mag keine Bosskämpfe in Jump and Runs ) - jede Welt hat einen Bonuslevel damit es sich auch lohnt alle roten Kristalle zu sammeln :) Contra - auf dem DS war die Grafik schöner, auf dem PC sieht sie irgendwie glattgebügelt/steril aus - den nächsten Level anzuwählen mit Controller ist ein Krampf ( ich musste immer die Tastatur dazu nehmen denn ab und an spinnt das Spiel rum und wählt auch wenn ich zB. auf Welt 3 Level 2 bin den vorherigen Level aus den ich bereits abgeschlossen hatte ) das gab es in der DS Version nicht und es ist schon ein bisschen nervig wenn das ein paar mal hintereinander passiert - Achievments seit 2017 bekannt bis heute ( 2026! ) nicht gepatcht - Erfolg für Welt 6 beenden bekommen aber Welt 3 fehlt mir? WTF 10 Gegner besiegen ohne den Boden zu berühren? Selbst nach 15 kam der Erfolg nicht! das ist einfach nur.......... - durch die SEHR SEHR SEHR schlechte Kollisionsabfrage sind manche Level einfach nur Mist - zb Welt 7-7 mit der Blase den letzten roten Kristall zu bekommen ohne an den 2 cm entfernten Stacheln hängen zu bleiben ist einfach nur unfair und frustrierend - auf dem DS funktioniert es super!

overall a decent 2d plataform its colorfull and fun most of the time there are moments the game have very cheap moments like level 7-7 but its also fair give you 5 lives on the stage you left so there is not game over also there is the retro based level overall a good game for retro 2d plataform lovers

Average and kinda enjoyable, but some achievements are broken with no hope to fix them. There are bad hitboxes. If you are easily enraged, don't play it.

This is a good game. I remember playing the original as a child on my Commodore 64 and was so glad to see it as a remake for my modern system
