So far, I am enertained. Faithful to the original. Now infuse it with a few new ideas and you will have a banger.
Ghost Keeper, developed by Quest Craft and published by Gaming Factory and Quest Craft, embraces a premise that immediately sets it apart from most strategy games: instead of defending humanity from monsters, players become the mastermind behind an ever-growing collection of supernatural terrors. Set in a stylized version of 19th-century England, the game transforms haunted mansions, sleepy settlements, and shadowy corners of Victorian society into playgrounds for spectral mischief. It is a concept that feels familiar to fans of classic dungeon and creature management titles, yet Ghost Keeper injects enough personality into its setting to carve out an identity of its own. The game's greatest strength lies in its atmosphere. Victorian architecture and gloomy environments create an excellent backdrop for its blend of horror and comedy. Rather than aiming for pure terror, Ghost Keeper leans into an entertaining balance of creepy and amusing. Watching frightened citizens react to your growing army of ghosts, demons, and bizarre creatures gives the game a playful energy that keeps its darker themes approachable. The presentation successfully captures the feeling of orchestrating a supernatural spectacle, making every mission feel like a stage performance where fear is the main attraction. At its core, Ghost Keeper is built around strategic experimentation. Players recruit and command a variety of monsters, each equipped with distinct skills that can be combined in creative ways. Some entities excel at sowing panic directly, while others manipulate their surroundings, disrupt enemies, or support their allies. The game rewards players who think beyond straightforward solutions, encouraging them to chain abilities together to create increasingly chaotic outcomes. This flexibility prevents the gameplay loop from becoming stale and gives players a sense of ownership over their tactics. Adding further depth is the inclusion of the Brotherhood, a determined organization devoted to hunting the supernatural. Their presence introduces genuine stakes, as they actively oppose your efforts and force players to consider every move carefully. Encounters become more engaging when balancing the desire to spread fear against the necessity of protecting valuable creatures from experienced hunters. The conflict between the Brotherhood and your monstrous forces serves as the backbone of the campaign, lending the game a stronger narrative focus than many strategy titles in its category. Ghost Keeper also demonstrates a clear appreciation for the games that inspired it. There is an unmistakable old-school design philosophy present in its mission structure, emphasizing discovery and experimentation rather than excessive guidance. Fortunately, modern quality-of-life features help smooth out the experience, making it accessible to newcomers while still appealing to veterans of the genre. Unlocking new creatures and learning how they interact with one another becomes one of the game's most satisfying aspects, giving players a steady stream of incentives to continue progressing. While the game occasionally shows signs of its ambitious scope, particularly in areas where additional variety or balancing would further strengthen the experience, its foundation remains compelling. The developers have established a world filled with charm, strategy, and creativity, and the concept of weaponizing fear proves surprisingly engaging over extended play sessions. Ghost Keeper may not reinvent supernatural strategy games, but it delivers a memorable adventure that understands the appeal of letting players become the villains for a change. In the end, Ghost Keeper succeeds by combining tactical gameplay, a distinctive Victorian setting, and an entertaining cast of monsters into a cohesive package. It offers a satisfying mix of planning, experimentation, and dark humor that should resonate with fans of strategy games looking for something outside the usual fantasy or science-fiction settings. Its willingness to embrace its eccentric premise is ultimately what makes it stand out, resulting in a game that is as charming as it is sinister. Rating: 7/10
A fun spiritual successor to Ghost Master. The option to either kill or scare off is a nice touch. A good foundation for the game that hopefully will continue to expand in the future. It's a nice, easy 100% completion game! At times this game can hold your hand a little too in the way it directs you on how to unlock new ghosts, rather than letting you solve the puzzle for yourself. Some updates I'd like to see in the future: Less repetitive voice lines. More levels, ghosts and puzzles. More prominence in the music and progression in the music's intensity as you work through a level. Expanding levels to allow more ghosts to come in, as sometimes it feels like you're just waiting for a particular cooldown on repeat. Tooltip descriptions on the mortals' debuffs to more easily identify what you've done to them.

It would be great to see more content updates! Currently, the game content is too limited, and the sandbox mode unlocked after a single playthrough lacks customization options—such as the ability to adjust the number and types of NPCs within scenes.
Nice game, little short but still worth playing, looking forward for some DLC
I loved Ghost Master this game may end up better if they keep working at it! It seems a little easier to add ghosts to rooms than Ghost Master. Definitely need the Headless Horseman!
I’m hoping this game will become what Ghost Master could have been in the age of online patches and fixes. It has the Ghost Master vibe from the very beginning, maybe a little less comedic. First impression: Ghost Master Remastered. But that’s only an impression, because there are a lot of changes. Finally you can actually kill mortals! Finally ghost powers have detailed descriptions of how they work! Those are probably the two most important changes. The game is still in very early Early Access, and I haven’t played it for long, but it looks great so far and I have very high hopes for it.
Wow this game feels so much like Ghost Master and your supporting an actual company as ppl who made original GM are defunct. There some issues such as killing people way too easy and I find the ghostbusters too easy to deal with. But if you like being the bad guy, playing the original ghost master or just like non horror games about ghosts and demons def buy this.
