Ghost Cleaner is a combination of arcade game and puzzle game. At first glance it is very straightforward, as you use a gun to destroy pink bricks. But the game requires you to use both strategy and tactics to finish every level. Try it once, and you'll be coming back for more!

I wanted to like this game. I'm a fan of similar games, such as the Peggle series. However, there's absolutely nothing new here. It's almost like they took Peggle, reskinned it, and hung the blocks by strings. That's the gist of it. You shoot a ball, hoping to eliminate all of the pink blocks before you run out of shots. Same as Peggle, except that Peggle had nice twists to the gameplay, whereas 20 some levels in, there's nothing new to keep my interest. The game also has a few game mechanics that are rather irritating. First, some of the blocks will reset if you hit them twice. That wouldn't be a problem, except that you have no clue which ones those are. Also, appearently progressing in the game is dependant on a star system. So after truding through 80 levels, just to finish the game, you are rewarded with a message that says you have to go back, and redo levels to get more stars. Hard to do, when in order to get all 3 stars, you have to break every brick in a level WITHOUT your special weapons. In some stages this is damn near impossible.
A stripped down version of Peggle. There is NO high scores for levels. So its literally "get the stars" and move on. Instead of special characters- you get special items. And guess what? The special items make it so you cant get perfect stars on the level. To get these items- you literally have to grind through levels over and over. That would be fine- if the gameplay didnt get boring. Plus there is no indicator of what the special items do! So you have to waste your money at least once on each item to find out what it is. Another big complaint- the game seems a bit glitchy at times. There is the moments when you clear every peg for a level- but the game tells you that you didn't. The level will end- but you wont have perfect stars even though you should. Game maker hasnt been active at all on the forums, or when I emailed about a few things. That's kind of stupid- considering the game hasnt been out too long. So it honestly seems like shovelware/abandonware. If the game maker updates the game or actually responds to some stuff, I'll update the review accordingly.
Peggle wasn't a perfect game. In fact, enjoyable as it was, it felt as though it failed to achieve much of what its intruiging design concept promised. So, when I say this game fails to meet the expectations of a Peggle game, note that my considerations aren't colored by bias for the progenitor game. No, this game fails to meet expectations (and certainly fails to surpass them) because it offers a shallow imitation of the Peggle experience, utilizing less notable game concepts than that original game. Of course, if that were all it was, the game might still be a suitable way to scratch our Peggle itch. However, the game is further troubled by several mechanical issues [eg, the farther you move your cursor, the stronger your shot; however, you can't drag the cursor off-screen, so getting the right power on your shot sometimes feels nigh impossible] and quite a few outright bugs (some, like sounds when you've disabled them, are minor; others are notable enough to cost you a run on a level). The game just doesn't feel fun to fire shots out on, the level design isn't engaging, and the mechanical issues just stack frustrations onto an already lackluster experience. Finally, the game is inherently ridiculously easy (a fact which is compounded by the ability to purchase special consumable variations of your basic shot- though, as an added frustration, those lack any documentation on their effects and are profoundly imbalanced on benefit), made difficult only due to mechanics which actively fight against you, meaning the entire experience feels like a grindy fight against the game's mechanical flaws, rather than any sort of engagement with the game's levels. At its heart, it's a very basic Peggle experience and, even a basic Peggle experience has a certain degree of fun to it [though, as a major fan of the Brick-Breaker genre, I do have bias in that regard]. Unfortunately, that potential for fun is not only well hidden under terrible presentation, it's actively sabotaged by poor polish. No doubt some number of gamers are going to be able to ignore the frustrations and lack of depth of the game, and enjoy the game for what it is- but I imagine most are going to find this game to be nothing more a frustrating waste of time and money. If you're looking for an experience close to what Peggle offered you- and especially if you also found Peggle to not quite hit all the right notes- then I just can't recommend this game. At the very least, I recommend you check out some Let's Plays and see if the level design seems interesting enough to you that you'd be willing to work through the game's frustrations and simple approach. (And after that, if you're still interested, do consider making use of Steam's 2-hour refund window. You should know if the game is[n't] for you fairly quickly.) While this game may have started out with good intentions, the unpolished, soulless end result feels almost offensively bad (in much the same way rushed-out, lackluster games released solely to play off the appeal of a major IP do). It feels like this game was released just to maximize off the lack of other entries in this subgenre, rather than being produced by developers who enjoyed the genre themselves, much less developers eager to make their mark on the genre. Final Score: It's Okay Game, I Don't Like You Either / Why Do I Keep Spending Time Trying To Find Something Redeemable About Games Like This
Are you looking for a game that gives you a little Peggle mixed with some World of Goo, and more? Well then do I have the game for you. The name of the game is Ghost Cleaner and you will be tasked with conquering 101 levels of varying difficulty as you try to figure out the mastermind behind an evil plan. Graphically this game uses a lot of light blue and pink, but that's to be expected as this is going to be the color of the objects (bricks and balls) that you're going to try to be breaking. I have to say that I like the fact that the background image changes with the area that you're entering. Here's a couple of the areas that you'll be venturing through, a hospital, a school, and a graveyard. Each level is well laid out where you feel that even the very cluttered levels look good. As you might imagine from my description of the story I'm not 100% sure what was all going on, but the sheer number of levels and the fact that there was definitely some challenge to them kept me hooked. The reason why I compared this game to Peggle is because it's almost exactly Peggle with the difference being that the shooter is going to be different places during the levels, which creates its own set of challenges. All of the challenges I either loved or screamed at the computer because I had to actually take a strategy into the level. I also mentioned World of Goo and the reason for this is that there are some levels where the balls or bricks are connected via strings and as you break those connections gravity takes over and it just reminds me a lot of creating the towers in World of Goo and hoping they don't fall over. Here's the one real weakness of the game, the object of each level is to get rid of the pink blocks, each one equals a ghost, collect enough ghosts and you can use them to buy power up items. The problem is that you have no idea what each of the power ups does. You get the icon picture to work with and that's it. There's also the issue of having to click on the different selections which sometimes if you are slightly off you waste that power up on a shot that will probably not hit a damn thing. It would have been nice to switch to the power up and then back to the regular shot. Each level has an out of three stars rating, and the way it works is the following. If you use any power ups to beat the level that's one star, if you played without power ups and left some blue on the screen that's two stars, if you clear the board that's three. Now for most of the game I didn't seem to have an issue with the amount of stars that I was being awarded until the very end where I had to go back to a previous level and beat it for three stars. Here's the deal, this game isn't perfect, but there is something that kept me trying to defeat the levels until I got to the end, or should I say a potential end with a cliffhanger. The difficulty balance over 101 levels is quite tricky and I think it also depends on the type of player you have playing the game, so I wouldn't say there's a steady ramp up but there are a couple of puzzles that definitely stood in my way from advancing, some almost to the point of making me want to punch something. This game gets an 8.7 out of 10.
Love the game i really do but where is the full screen guys? There are no display options. In this day and age all games should have a full screen option.Yes even at launch. Lets get this thing updated so i can give you a better review and recommend it!! So no for now until we get that update!! "UPDATE" Yay!! The Devs have quickly fixed the fullscreen issue in just one day!! Now you can enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played!! Its a very cool physics game and i love the paranormal theme. Also has a very cool soundtrack and cool cartoon cut scenes. It was released just a little after Halloween but still puts you in the mood for the season!! I love how the game brings you along slowly with some easy levels then starts to turn on the difficulty!! I hope the devs continue to support this project because this game just screams for some future DLC'S!! If you like physics games like i do please give "GHOST CLEANER" a try and enjoy it like iam!! :)
Similar to Peggle, launch balls and try to hit blocks to make them disappear or hit connected spheres to make them fall into pit. Goal is to eliminate all purple stuff. No cloud save, had to start over after reinstalling. Overall casual and gets boring after a while.
Let's be clear about one thing. This is NOT peggle. However, while this might not be the peggle substitute on steam that you came here for, it is still a pachinko/plinko style game with some interesting physics action. If you can be OK with that the physics gameplay is the only similarity to the game you THOUGHT this game would be, it might be well worth to pick up if it is on sale. Be warned though, the story is horribly unengaging and stupid and since the story kind of brand the theme and colours of the game... Well, you do need to really need that precision marble drop game fix to enjoy this one. I needed that when I got this game on sale, so I feel I did get what I paid for and therefore I give a reluctant and weak thumbs up.
Jeu sympa au premier abord. Finalement très frustrant car le level 49 est buggé, et ne permet pas d'obtenir les 3 étoiles afin de terminer les succès.
