Gettysburg: The Tide Turns is a hex-based wargame set in one of the most decisive and iconic battles of the Civil War. 150 years ago, brave soldiers fought across this idyllic battlefield, and, now, we put you in their shoes.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Too buggy on W11.
Poor. If it's free or really, really cheap, it might entertain for a short while, but unlikely.
refreshingly different

When I wish to kill some time and relax with the laptop, this is now become my go-to game. I don't have to rush anything...being turned based, I am free to get another coke from the frig, answer the phone...Having just purchased this 02Nov17, it is proving to be some of the smartest money I've spent. It truly delivers play repeatability and will run on practically any sytem- desktop or laptop. Its absolutely great to use on trips, esp flying or waiting around at the airport. The entire program development has been polished and apparently the new developers are keeping tabs of any and all possible coding failures as they are correcting them in a timely manner. The program size allows it to nestle easily on any drive available. Indeed, when I wish to relax, alone or with visiting friends, they too get quite the giggles on how the game flows from turn to turn, compelling them to grab a steam account and make their purchase of TheTideTurns. Indeed, I am looking forward to future releases from this company of developers!
Another AI ignores terrain and swarms game. The chit system is lopsided towards the AI. There is no way you can defend anywhere without the ai blasting you to shreds even if you have hight or terrain cover. Very frustrating not being able to maneuver units that normally would be available if this were a regular IGOYGO type of system. Chits? who thought this garbage up?
Easy to learn, fun, fast moving, board game style(Avalon Hill) but the computer does all the work the player just makes the decsisions. It is also educational.I like the unceartainty of the movement & combat system.I'd like to see some other Civil War battle games with similar rules!I would recomend this game to anyone who is interested in the American Civil War.I think that another level of difficulty would be nice because I noticed the A.I. occasionaly moves brigades that should stay put and heal or attacks at poor odds. I look forward to playing a human opponet. It would also be better if leaders are introduced.
Quite good. With a few improvements, could be great. Would love to see Waterloo.
Interesting and historical accurate.
Terrible game!
I was in the kickstarter for this game, and downloaded it to my computer when it was released. Now they ask me to pay $9.99 for it? What's up with that?
