Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Gears Tactics is a game that’s very tough to pin down on whether I would recommend it or not. It’s not a bad game, and for someone who’s not a huge fan of the turn-based genre, it’s good and pretty easy to pick up and play. The problem lies in what it wants to do in terms of pacing. For a game that has a storyline and gameplay that, compared to FPS games, is on average much slower per level, it’s a little too comfortable with wasting your time. What I mean by that is that there’s a story here that they’re telling you, but there’s this issue with telling it. You may ask, what does that mean? OK, so there are main missions in this game that have cut scenes and dialogue that doesn’t repeat itself, and those are good. They’re not much different than the side missions that get forced on you after every main mission, except for the dialogue that they actually thought through, or the map design that they had to implement to make it feel like you’re actually progressing. It’s the same problem that I have with Rockstar game design in Grand Theft Auto Online, where they don’t seem to care about the story they’re telling, or if the heist that you’re playing will be interesting after 100 hours after the new DLC came out. They want you to waste a little more time to make the game feel bigger. Now I guessed that this game was going to take me roughly 20 to 30 hours to beat. Gears of War campaigns have always been long; that’s not the problem. The problem is the extra 20 to 25 hours that got bolted onto this game because they wanted you to mindlessly run around doing side missions that play the same every time you play them, with maybe two or three variations of map. The dialogue is always the same. The objectives are the same too. It’s very repetitious. I would expect the only reason why you would do something like this is that you didn’t want to pay the writers more to actually sit around and think out a story to consistently engage the player, or maybe they were nervous that the game was too short, but the core of the matter is, “is it a good game?” Yes, when it’s not trying to waste your time. However, the inherent design of this game is to double the length of time the game should take, so for that reason alone I wouldn’t recommend it. If you can stand knowing that your pace is being intentionally slowed and you like the core gameplay itself, it’s fine, but there is a story here that I would’ve enjoyed having total focus on rather than feeling like I got my “moneys worth” out of a game by just loading my hours up way past the standard threshold to where it’s artificial and a slog to get through. I can’t believe it. They went the complete opposite way with the genre. I thought they wouldn’t be able to pull off a turn-based tactical game. They did great on the gameplay but horrible with the storytelling. I paid $15 for this on sale; that wouldn’t even get me an order of small fries at a McDonald’s now. You might be better off spending your money on fast food than this schlock. You’re probably going to get more substance from that fast food meal than you would from this poor excuse of a story-driven game. P.S. There is a softlock bug that shows up later in the game that prevents the Locust’s turn from ending. This problem added another 2 hours to the final boss fight because it kept happening over and over. Hot tip: Don’t use Jack’s Attractor Mines during the boss fight. Pretty sure that was the culprit, and don’t stand too close to solid objects with Jack. There is an attack the boss does that pushes them and prevents them from moving permanently.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Buen juego, del estilo de xcom. Está muy pulido y lo que hace no lo hace nada mal.
wish I didn't wait this long to finally try it out
A really good Gears game! It really adds to the game’s overall universe It’s a great tactical game; the classes, enemies and bosses are really good The only downside I’d mention is that some maps come up several times, and the mandatory side missions sometimes annoyed me, I didn’t really feel like doing one mission after another
