Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I loved Xcom and Gears, im approx 10 hours in and also enjoying this game very much, there is some minor things missing like being able to sell or buy your stash and changing the character model. Storyline is strong and combat rewarding. most certainly worth a go if you are thinking about it.
Remek sztori, ami kiegészíti a GoW világát.
amazing story and gameplay in a typical Gears style, i love it :) okay it started good but the repetition is unbearable ....
A combination of the Gears and Xcom worlds, this game combines both ideas but falls flat. Every single mission you are horrendously outnumbered while having characters who can't land a single shot. This game also has ridiculously quirk mechanics which don't even make sense in the normal Gears of War world. Want to chainsaw a wretch? If you run up to it during YOUR turn, it "opportunity attacks" you - hitting you first and putting your chainsaw ability on a 5 turn cooldown. Want to retro lancer charge a grenadier? He gets to automatically shoot if you ever get too close, even on your turn - ALSO cancelling the attack just like the wretch. Each and every mission is a drag where they just keep dropping tons and tons of minions on you while you only have 4 people on your team. I've found myself repeating missions not even out of "skill issue" but out of monotony based on "Gotcha" mission mechanics. You think you're winning then the mission drops like 5 grenadiers and 20 wretches, good luck. I loved XCOM 1 & 2, I loved the gears of war series, I do -NOT- like this game.
If you like Turn-based Tactics games, give Gears Tacticts a try! It does not have a world map or base building like XCOM, but the Turn-based Tactics gameplay is spot on, putting some emphasis on your characters being heroes (e.g. enemies can be downed and then executions give all other team mates an extra AP). The skill trees and looted weapon mods and armor make for some nice progression and varieties in possible playstyles for the 4 main classes. I only played the "full content" campaign for now, which brings "Jack", a robot helper, as the fifth squad member, allowing for some new game mechanics - and also brings improved enemies to the game. This DLC/update also brought a graphics overhaul to he game, making the game look quite good on the map and in cutscenes. The story is quite OK and the voice overs are fitting. The campaign is a mix of fixed story missions and sets of proc gen in between side missions with a variety of objective types and some bonus objectives, limitations and team/enemy modifiers to mix things up. You generally have to complete 3 out of 4 side missons to advance and can only bring each soldier once into a set of side missions. After the final battle of the campaign (and I guess base game), you can go on with increasingly tougher "veteran missions" for an extended challenge. As this was originally a console game, I want to say that the keyboard & mouse controls are very intuitive and good here - no complaints. Also adapted quite well for ultra wide monitors. AND there is almost no bugs at all, only some wonky physics at times and one time I had a character walk around with a 90 degree bent torso in a single cutscene - nothing wild. Overall I can warmheartedly recommend Gears Tactics :)
really fun tactical game
