good game
It's a fun short game. Gameplay is fun, the story is kinda like a action film so try not to expect anything like heavy or nuanced. The only parts I didn't enjoy was the story missions. Certain missions like the elevator, mines and escort were the least fun i had. The ones I did like however were the 1v1's or eliminate all enemies. Overall I'd say it was pretty fun mecha game, if you enjoy the older Armored core games this might scratch that mecha itch.

Really fun game in my eyes, shame it isn't getting more attention. I played trough the campaign and expansion while 100% completing the achievements (Including mass production miracle) and getting all secret mechs and here is what I can say regarding some other negative reviews I have seen: The difficulty in this game is pretty good, I never came across a mission that felt unfair, sure the bug enemies can be annoying with the fly bugs that spam those homing projectiles, but that is really the only bad enemy design I have seen. The enemy mechs are kind of hilariously easy to fight at long range (So they cannot target you) and you can shoot them willy-nilly with no risk, but that is assuming you actually prepared to fight enemy mechs and brought a long range loadout. Some people complain about "You cannot prepare your loadout well on the first run" but thats far from it. Reading trough the debrief (As common sense would have it) Actually gives you a clue on what enemies will be expected and even if it isn't, it should be common sense that bugs won't be present on a space station in space. Progression wise, getting to choose your mech and weaponry feels fun and creative, some clearly excell at specific areas but what is a shame is that certain mechs and weapons just get outclassed completely later on. Obviously no game is 100% perfect, so there are some issues I have with the game: - Like mentioned before, all enemy mech fights can be trivialized too much and they don't have much variety, they all behave the same exact way including the boss mechs. - Qualify of life settings such as skipping all dialogue and cutscenes completely, aswell as screenshake are not present - Finding the secrets was a nice side-track to the otherwise super fast campaign progression, wish there was more to do after completing a mission or even the game in general - At the end you ultimately have money with nothing to spend it on, we could have had upgrades to our mechs or weapons to give us something to grind more towards and make the lesser mechs(weapons more viable later on. Would have also been funny to remove upgrade limit once you beat the campaign, allowing you to essentially get a 1 hit P-shooter and godly starter mech, provided you upgraded them beyond normal reason I would absoloutely love to see a Gearbits 2, there is a ton of potential by adding new mechanics such as shields or even armor parts. Combine that with general better visual flair and way more content and you got yourself a killer sequel. Perhaps lore wise it could even be on a core world or near one so there are higher technologies present. If you got spare 15 bucks or even less when the game is on sale, this will keep you occupied for around 8 hours or more if you go for 100% achievements. If you are having difficulty with the mass production miracle achievement, I recommend using the drum lmg for bugs and any long range beamer for enemy mechs.
very fun little game, nothing extraordinary but it holds up very well in all aspects; story, visuals, gameplay, customization, etc. Its definitely worth the price.

very good
