ICY: Frostbite Edition

Would I recommend this game? Yes. However there are a number of things I wish were done differently or better. 1: I hate it when games force WASD for movement without the ability to remap keys. Granted with this game there is not a whole lot of interactions besides mouse clicks and scrolls around on the map. However in cases like this most, good, devs would pre-set the movement to be either WASD or the arrow keys 2: Regardless how many many people you add to your 'tribe' you can only carry the same amount of stuff. This isnt realistic 3: After you get through a tutorial on something, exploring locations for example, there is no way to go back and review what was said. This would be an issue however (see 4).. 4: There are not enough tool tips when you hover over things. Some things are explained but not everything or not in as much detail as I would like such as (see 5).. 5: I would be nice to know what things are just junk to sell and what is important for crafting. Because there is a very limited amount of stuff you can carry it becomes important to only keep the most important things so if things were labeled as Junk or otherwise clearly labeled as something to sell not keep it would be nice 6: Healing could be better, for example it would be nice if there were places you could go for healing or rest that would heal you instead of having to run through your med supplies However even with all of that I still recommend the game. I enjoy the style and the combat is rather unique.

В игре за менее, чем 0,5$, я за час нашёл больше сюжета, эмоций и души, чем в 90% дорогих ААА, которые вышли в 2025! Это самая настоящая настольная ролевая игра с интересной боёвкой в сеттинге постапокалипсиса. Можно было бы назвать это Wastelend 3 на минималках, если бы не тот нюанс, что тут история и диалоги гораздо интереснее! Из явных минусов отмечу нелепый инвентарь, вес которого одинаковый хоть вы один в группе, хоть вас 10 человек - это выглядит абсурдно) У меня были сомнения о покупке новой игры этого разработчика, потому я совершенно случайно решил посмотреть на вот эту, старую. Все сомнения отпали, можно брать, и ICY, и Dustgrave.

Absolutely solid game. Fun story, it reminded me of the fun I had playing the "shadowrun" games, although the combat is completely different and the world is slightly more open. It was really the sense of story and community of running a crew and being the leader that made me think of that.

not my normal cup of tea but its a decent little game. only real complaint is that its WAY to short(completed 4 full runs in 16ish hours)

ICY is a choose your own adventure with light survival elements. You lead your ragtag band of survivors through a frozen post apocalyptic wasteland in order to rescue your friends and maybe even find a home. The story is decent but not outstanding there are a few branching paths which culminate in a small number of endings. The combat is simple but surprisingly tense as you and your opponents race to kill or be killed. Definitely worth a play if you like these sorts of visual novel type adventure games. Might not be worth full price but your mileage may vary.

Робкая проба пера, павшая жертвой неопытности же. Диалоги утилитарны и механистичны (очень реминисцентны беседам персонажей игроков в настольные рпг, но если последним приходится импровизировать на ходу, то у вас-то, ребята, предварительный скрипт имелся), а подчас и вовсе дают понять, что английский язык сценаристам был знаком вполне, но уж явно не на уровне изящной прозы. Боевка куцая и скучная, ворлдбидлинг и персонажи избиты (не то чтоб в самих лекалах было что-то плохое, но навернуть на них что-то сверху уж нужно б было). Малоимпозантная система крафта, плотлайн, отбирающий у игроков агентность там, где, как будто, в рпг принято иметь моральные решения. Я ценю эффорт и страсть, но просто первый блин комом. Зато пройти ее можно скорехонько-из моих часов игры 15 было отведено трем прохождениям, остальное время игра просто мотылялась в свернутых процессах.
