Explore on your own if you dare or play with friends in 4-player same-screen and online co-op. Your friends can become foes as you compete to see who can claim the most kills and the most gold.
Gauntlet’s four classic characters: Warrior, Valkyrie, Elf, and Wizard return but with more distinctive play styles and their own unique skills.
Players can scour the dungeons for gold and loot to unlock mystical Relics that grant the holder deadly new abilities. But beware – if used incorrectly they can be detrimental to your party’s health!
Fiendish traps, monstrous hordes, epic bosses and even your own friends will cause you to die in confounding and extraordinary ways.

I don't know what is it with this game, but I can't help but feel charmed by it. I get it, it doesn't have the most immersive combat system and the repetitiveness shows up quick after the first new game+, but I still feel oddly compelled to come back and keep playing just one more run to see how far I'll get this time. Truly a hidden gem if you like this kind of mindless horde beaters, and by far, the wizard is the best class to play, no discussion there.

Arcade Fun
Good and hard dungeon crawler, the classic kind. Great for coop fun.
Fun enough I suppose. I originally played this couch co-op a decade ago without ever completing it and then beat the campaign just now solo on "normal". Despite fuzzy memories and not completing it those many moons ago, co-op was definitely the more enjoyable way to play. The friendly competitive elements co-op brings distract from an otherwise straightforward grind. That said, I still had fun solo too. It's just I'm not interested in grinding each character up on the same handful of maps and difficulties. So there's not a ton here to be had for current me. Recommended for co-op. It's easy to pick up and I'd imagine a skilled player could carry their friends.
This game is amazing, Ive played it for over 400 hours and I still play it. The abiliteys with the characters and the fighting is amazing. I definetly recommend!

Eine wahre Klassiker Perle. Spätestens im Sale - Absolute Kaufempfehlung! Ein knallharter und richtig geiler Koop Dungeon-Crawler aus dem Jahr 1985 kehrt in neuem Gewand zurück! Grosses Dankeschön an die Entwickler und Publisher für dieses "Remake". Schade das die Entwickler eine "pay 2 win" Klasse eingeführt haben - Die Klasse Necromancer! Aber das ist eher nebensächlich. Man kann auch ohne die DLC Klasse grossen Spass am spiel haben!
