It's a good game, yet I won't be playing anymore. Yeah, it stopped working on my machine—something with the launcher. I've always like garys games, but after a recent interaction with customer service, I'm out. I've done about a grand in total sales with Slith. for games? lol. Ya, and some i've even bought more than once. but yes, i'm done with them since they don't seem to care about legacy customer retention. I asked customer service for a deal on a title. they refused, as is their right. No biggie. Its also my right to pick who i buy my entertainment from. I sent mail to a differing publisher telling them about my experience and, how since Slith had refused my offer of $116 for 2x of differing title, 2x for the price of 1, and asked them if they would consider offering me a bundle of their WWII titles. I'm pleased to say they have offered us a very nice simple deal, and I'm going to spend the money Slith could have had with this other pub. -- My pal and I will enjoy replaying WWII and life goes on. Cool huh?

Tough to learn but great to play
game won't load. All it does is crash
If you are fascinated in WW2 history this is the game for you. Do not be intimidated by the complexity, I started with strategic command and after buying this game I took a year before trying to conquer it. After many youtube tutorials I am finally a amateur expert.
Thumbs up. Waiting for Gary Grigsby's War in the West 2.
COMPLEX
Excellent game, love the detail and historical accuracy. It takes some time to learn and a bit more to master, but very rewarding.
Incredible game! At first appearance it seems overwhelming and almost like a simulation. The learning curve is a 7/10 on the steepness scale but once you figure out even just the basics the game's true "wargame" feel really shines. The level of complexity alongside the deep pool of information makes the Gary Grixby games truly stand out. If you want maneuver warfare on a mass scale, go to War in the East 1 & 2. War in the West focuses on the air war and different strategic decisions other than encircling enemies and advancing. 8/10 would always reccomend
