It is a time of great rejoicing in the galaxy. Luke Skywalker, with the help of Wedge Antilles, has blown up the Death Star. But there is little time to celebrate. The mighty Empire is gathering strength for a determined, all-out assault on the Rebel forces.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 12 → 0.4/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This Game needs a Remaster. I've got good memories of playing this on the Nintendo 64 or on the PC as a youngling. The Rogue Squadron Games were a lot of fun, and the only way to play it is on the N64, or a PC and it plays good with a controller. Here on Steam it had many flaws, the Starships are flying like someone moves a model spaceship with a wire, what looks really funny but doesn't help when your target janks constantly around and if you accelerate, the camera goes far away and you'r ship becomes smaller and smaller. Even when you tie a toecable around an AT-AT, your ship hets out of camera range, that you've got to be a lucky shot to bring the walker down. Hopefully this game gets a Remaster with enhanced graphics and controls, better the whole trilogy. It's very frustrating how bad it plays on steam.
BEWARE: this game does not run well on modern hardware. I followed multiple guides on how to get it to run on a windows 11 pc and none of it worked. The ingame settings dont do anything video wise to make it run, and overall it is a chore to attempt to get this game to run properly. It sucks too, this game is objectively great. But it suffers from the fact that it just cannot run on modern hardware well.
It works just fine on SteamOS. I am using GE-Proton and have zero graphical issues. Setting up controls is a bit of work (especially missing the Esc-button with the standard config). The game is in 4:3 (as it should be). The famous bug, where the ship flies away from the camera can be circumvented if you adjust the view at the begining of every level. This game is perfect for Steam Deck!
This is Star Wars, ♥♥♥♥ all that other ♥♥♥♥.
I was surprised how fun this is in 2026. Xbox controller works just fine, it's perfectly playable on keyboard as well. There are some difficulty spikes here and there, and the game is not easy by any meaning, but if you don't mind not earning all the medals and just play it for the campaign, it's a blast and you can get through once you figure out what's what. There's some storyline which is okay I guess, but the vibe of Star Wars and some of the world-building underneath it is actually good. A very nice surprise for me, technical state is fine, I even avoided the infamous camera bug somehow despite not touching any of the setting or applying fixes or whatnot.
Who is the miscreant who thought this was acceptable? You demean the name of Steam by publishing this ♥♥♥♥. First off, the speed increase leaves the camera stuck once it reaches some max speed. The camera literally never moves after that point. Then the enemy starships bounce all around because you apparently couldn’t be bothered to handle the float conversion properly. This is a disgrace. Whoever approved this ♥♥♥♥ should lose their job. I normally don’t refund a $3–$4 purchase, but I will on principle. You make Steam look bad. ♥♥♥♥ you.
Unfortunately, impossible to play on modern hardware.
Despite being over twenty-five years old and having some jank, Rogue Squadron 3D still holds up incredibly well. With a good variety of ships, fun levels, great art design, and unique environments, there is a lot to love about Rogue Squadron 3D. Moreover, even though the story is nothing special, being able to see a glimpse into the rebellion post-Empire in the final level was a nice touch. Yet, even though the game itself is great, the Steam release leaves a lot to be desired. With basically no improvements to make the game run properly on modern systems, poor mouse controls, and a lack of proper widescreen support, I do wish more had been done to make the Steam release more up-to-date. However, even though there are some issues on the tech side of things, the game itself is still fantastic and absolutely worth a try.
Rogue Leader is always gonna get talked about more than this game, but there's a special place in my heart for the OG. The PC port needs some adjusting and will crash on you, there's a weird issue I've experienced where the camera just randomly stays in place while your ship flies off into the unknown too. My fix was to just stay in the cockpit pov mode as much as possible, and I didn't mind that too much. There are just shy of 20 missions altogether and the lengthiest are about 10 minutes long, so this is a game you can easily clear on a day off if you wanted. But if you have a couple hours and an interest in Star Wars or video game history this is a really neat time capsule. Go play the Hoth prologue from Shadows of the Empire and then hop on the Hoth epilogue level from this game to see a really cool technological leap within the same hardware gen.
