D for DULL! and F for FAIL! ridiculous rating system.. where the archer has to melee to get more than a 'D'...
When the Story Refused to Continue—Cast Out by Code, Mid-Ballad
My sister and I had reached the very heart of the forest. After the frantic struggle against the tax collectors, we found ourselves suspended within a moment of grace: watching as flowers emerged, exhaling their perfume, surrendering their petals to the air. As we ran, blossoms whispered beneath our feet, while the clearing’s light offered a fleeting sanctuary—a pause before the weight of what awaited us further on. The petals became our companions, swaying to the rhythm of the wind, while we moved in quiet accord with the ancient woodland. We knew we had to press on, leaving the flowers to keep their silent vigil, eternally waiting in that emerald heart. My sister and I had seen the collectors descend upon the city, leaving behind nothing but misery and want. Few possessed the courage to defy the king’s lackeys—servants to a famished Governor who, with his vast machines, transfigured the very earth itself. Fire the weapon, and the sky bleeds a bruised, industrial red. We encountered a jester. He bore a miniature theatre, and through the voices of minstrels he wove tales of the brave. We sat and listened, allowing the stories to settle within us. Did we truly wish to be heroines to this village, to succour those who lived in such quiet ruin? Perhaps it was not heroism we sought, but purpose—a desire to resonate with the villagers. We did not crave to hear our deeds sung; we wished only that our coins might pass into the hands of others. Bow and blade stand ready now, so that all—even the smallest among us—might come to know the stillness of peace. Ballads were sung of our deeds, yet we preferred the music that rose from the people’s own hearts. We met a poor woman weeping in the shadows, too afraid to venture out; she had lost her husband, and in her grief she asked us for flowers to grace his grave. “There, in the clearing,” we whispered to one another as we wandered. We found blooms of the deepest blue, breathing scents so soft, so tranquil, they seemed a balm for a wounded soul. We took one, and carried on—trying still to deliver it, even as we passed the broken and the destitute along our path. We vowed that our spoils would be theirs; let coin bring sustenance to the elders, and playthings to the children. But at that precise moment— And always— The world expelled us. A great technical fracturing interrupted our ballad—a symphony of living motion, suddenly silenced by the void. The game had stripped us of agency; it had plundered the very heart of our journey. We found ourselves unable to play, to help, or to remain within that world—cast out by the fragility of its own making. And so we wait. We wait for the day we may return to succour those poor souls whom the villain seeks to displace. We long to walk those paths once more, for our story is not yet ended—it lingers, suspended in the silence between the stars and the code.
It's a decent action adventure game with a unique robin hood back drop. Way too easy even on solo. It soft locked on act 2 mission 2 and nothing i did allowed me to progress. If you can get it on a sale it's fun.
