It's a fun looter shooter with enjoyable combat. The graphics are decent and the gameplay feels satisfying especially since you can play as many different Marvel heroes. My personal favorite is Iron Man as usual. The story starts off pretty well, but I couldn't finish the later parts because the game became repetitive and tedious. One of my favorite features was the skins. There are plenty of outfits already unlocked unlike many games where cosmetics are locked behind paywalls battle passes or long mission grinds. Performance was good no crashes or bugs. Overall I had a lot of fun with but after a while the repetitive missions made it lose its appeal.
The combat and character abilities are genuinely fun, and the campaign showed a lot of promise. Unfortunately, the live service structure drags everything down with repetitive missions and unnecessary grinding. It could have been a much better game if it had just focused on being a single-player action adventure.
Marvel's Avengers – The Hardest Battle Is Staying Awake
I finished Marvel's Avengers once a few years ago and recently decided to give it another shot. After all, maybe I had been too harsh on it. Maybe I missed something. Maybe there was a hidden gem buried underneath all the criticism. There wasn't. In fact, replaying this game has only made me realize how impressive it is that a title featuring some of the most popular superheroes on the planet can be this painfully boring. The story is an endurance test disguised as a campaign. Characters never stop talking. Ever. Every mission, every hallway, every elevator ride is filled with constant chatter. It's like the writers were terrified that players might spend five seconds alone with their own thoughts. The result is a never-ending stream of dialogue that ranges from forgettable to actively annoying. And then there are the missions themselves. So many moments had me staring at the screen wondering, "What exactly just happened?" The pacing is all over the place, objectives are often poorly communicated, and the game constantly struggles to give the player a clear sense of direction. The HUD certainly doesn't help. Half the time I wasn't sure where I was supposed to go, what I was supposed to do, or why I should care. The gameplay somehow manages to be both repetitive and frustrating. Combat quickly turns into a cycle of doing the same things against increasingly annoying enemies. The dodge mechanic feels awkward and unreliable, which is particularly impressive in a game that expects you to use it constantly. Every fight feels less like being an Avenger and more like arguing with the controls. And let's talk about character choice. One of the biggest strengths of the Marvel universe is its massive roster of beloved heroes. So naturally, the game decides that you'll spend a huge chunk of your time playing Kamala Khan and Hulk. Kamala is written in a way that I personally found incredibly irritating, and her powers never felt particularly exciting to use. Hulk should be fun by default, but even smashing things somehow becomes tedious here. What's especially frustrating is the wasted potential. I don't care that the characters don't look exactly like their movie counterparts. That's not the problem. The problem is that this game had access to one of the strongest entertainment brands in the world and somehow turned it into a chore. The music is forgettable. The story is dull. The dialogue is exhausting. The combat is repetitive. The mission design is confusing. The pacing is a mess. Playing Marvel's Avengers feels less like joining Earth's Mightiest Heroes and more like serving a sentence. The saddest part is that the foundation for something great was there. This should have been a dream game for Marvel fans. Instead, it's a reminder that a famous license can't save a game from bad design. If Thanos had snapped this game out of existence, he might actually have improved the timeline.
This game received a lot of hatred when it dropped due to some poor management of cosmetics and lack of updates but the devs did try to deliver when possible and I think that was overlooked just so people could find more and more reasons to hate on it. Playing this game as an actual comic book fan was a treat. Loved the focus of it having the more lean into comic lore as opposed to the MCU stuff. Co-Op is a blast, as well, I honestly would take this game over some of the super hero games we're getting lately with way too many odd twists in the canon.

This game is SOO overhated for no reason, the story is cool and it feels great to play, this is super similar to the batman games, not better, but more fun in my opinion.
Bought this game by steam key code version just for collect only no other reason
Nota Geral | Overall Rating
Marvel's Avengers suffered somewhat unfair hate when it launched, and much of that came from mismatched expectations about what the game was setting out to be. People wanted an open world in the style of Insomniac's Spider-Man, and got an action looter shooter focused on structured missions and item progression instead. That doesn't make the game bad, it makes it different from what got sold in a lot of people's heads. The title was discontinued and pulled from every digital storefront in September 2023, so today the only way to get a copy is through resold keys online. And it's worth being clear: since support ended, the game no longer has potential to improve. What exists today is everything it will ever be.
Jogabilidade | Gameplay
Each hero has a genuinely distinct combat kit, and that's the game's biggest strength. Playing as Hulk, with heavy area of effect strikes, is a completely different experience from playing as Iron Man, with flight and ranged attacks. The weak point, and one of the reasons that helps explain the failure, is the invisible loot: equipped items don't change the character's appearance, just numbers on a stat sheet. Add to that the repetitive structure of the Warzones and HARM Rooms, which recycle the same environments and bosses from the campaign, and it becomes easy to understand why the player base never sustained itself.
The main campaign, focused on Kamala Khan's origin, lasts between 10 and 12 hours, and is well used. The problem shows up in the post campaign, which leans too heavily on repetitive missions to justify the extra dozens of hours. This was one of the biggest reasons behind the commercial failure: Square Enix bet on a live service model that depended on constant content to retain players, but sales fell far below expectations, and the expensive Marvel license stopped making financial sense.
Enredo | Story
The campaign is the game's best element, and it's unfair that it got overshadowed by what came after. Kamala Khan's story, an Avengers fan who gains powers and rebuilds the team after a tragedy, is well written and emotionally effective. "A-Day" is a genuinely impactful opening, and the way each Avenger deals with guilt gives the characters real layers. It's a shame the post campaign never developed this plot with the same quality, and now, with the game abandoned, it never will.
Visual
Visually, the game is excellent. The models, though they caused controversy for not resembling the MCU actors, have quality design and very well crafted facial expressions in the cutscenes. The combat arenas are large and the environmental destruction against bigger bosses is satisfying.
Audio
The voice acting is one of the high points, especially Troy Baker delivering a convincing Bruce Banner/Hulk. The soundtrack accompanies the action moments well without standing out too much, and the sound effects for each ability give real weight to the hits.
