Reviews
To start, I can't stop playing this game. It is fun and immersive and many improvements have been made since isonzo. However, I have noticed a hit registration issue prevalent throughout matches. Mostly playing the HMG class. This is in the works to be patched at the time of this review. I also feel that the melee centered bomber (grenadier) class is just not fun and at a severe disadvantage given every other class has a firearm and most have a longer reach melee capability (bayonet). Also the grenades bounce like a rubber ball most of the time so its difficult for me to be accurate and effective with them. Their fuzes also seem inconsistent but that is most likely a confusion on my part. The spawns can be a bit jank but thats a rare occurrence. And the attackers have a pretty stout yet not all powerful safety net for tickets through footholds and killing over 70 defenders which resets each time the target is hit and tickets dispensed to the attackers. Officers are kind of mid in my opinion just based on your section abilities. not all officers have the same call ins and some are just better than others. but being able to have an extra HMG is dope. At the end of the day its fun, nore content on the way, but the price for base game and dlc feels kind of high right now.

This game is great. Ive played Tannenberg, Isonzo, and now Gallipoli. This one is the best of the series. It is so well fleshed out, they really encapsulated a feeling of trench warfare in Gallipoli better than any of the other games. The MGs are fun to use, are more effective, and are well fleshed out compared to the other games. Grenades are alot more powerful than any of the other games. They are actually useful and with one good throw you can kill 5 people. There's a focus on teamplay, which is nice. And people generally do try to play as a team if they are being directed. I play officer alot and use the map to draw assault routes and will tell people what to do in chat, they mostly listen. In chat I will tell the team and arty barrage is coming, or that creeping barrage is coming, and they generally do use it as cover for a push. They just need someone to give them some direction. I have nothing bad to say about this game. Its great! Its fun, its got cool guns, the heavier focus on teamplay is awesome. It can be quite immersive as well. There have been a fair amount of games and singular moments where my heart starts racing, adrenaline starts pumping. That immersed adrenaline pumping feeling is why I play games like this. So, good job Black Mill Games. You've done a great job if your game is so immersive that it triggers someone's fight or flight lol Of course, this is a game. So there is no flight lol Only fight.
Gra bardzo przyjemna. Można poczuć się jak pod Gallipoli.
As always, great and well balanced historical fps. They fixed most issues from the previous games.
Great game, I attended Beta test, back then optimalization was far worse than it is now. I would love to see more destructivible objects, for example watermelon, some woden planks or smth. BUT the game is great, its just pure fun to put on some kanonenfiber and play as ottoman soldier.
I picked this up to say thanks for receiving Isonzo free through Epic a while back after I put a lot of time into it. That said, overall, I enjoyed my time in Isonzo more. For what it's worth, I found I appreciated this game more after reading up on the history of the campaign. I give it a tentative recommend. Some noted differences from Isonzo:

Officer: 2-3 support options (so, very limited and none of it provides meaningful cover) and spaced out about 3 minutes apart (with the exception of the whistle). No smoke. No gas attacks. I still find officer fun to play on the right map/team but it feels less impactful and when not playing as officer that matches aren't as dynamic.
Maps: Minimal landscape diversity so far. It's sandy terrain and flat for the most part.
Movement is improved. Reasonably fluid with no silliness like sliding or diving.
Spotting: Instead of flares, there are scouting planes that cover areas very effectively for a limited time. Binoculars have a focusing mechanic that feels pretty gimmicky.
Players can be downed and revived by anyone. Being downed isn't a guarantee. Even if you are downed, the enemy can put you down for good. Teammates are pretty good about getting you up when they can. Well implemented.
Suppression & Panic Status: Suppression itself is reasonably well implemented. My only gripe is how easily it can be exploited to expose soldier positioning. Panic is more controversial. It can trigger repeatedly in short succession and significantly hurts your ability to aim. It's immersive but it gets frustrating at times.
Visuals: For this series, beautiful. The soldiers are still ugly as sin, as is tradition. Not as many non-DLC cosmetic options this time around though. Sound: Incredible on most fronts, especially music. Voice acting compared to Isonzo seems very toned down. Technical issues: These have been pretty well covered by others already and devs have acknowledged them. Hit registration is the main issue I've noticed. I expect things will improve on that front, but we'll see.
