W game
Gives me slight anxiety, but it's just really good.
It can feel really unbalanced if runs get ended over and over by bad luck, which then causes the game to feel repetitive. Apart from that its cool, maybe more rouge upgrades would be nice
for a game that's close to 15 years old, it's fresher and more original than 99% of modern audience slop strategic real time crew management with pausing infinite replayability brutal difficulty cliff extensively modded no political nonsense what's not to like?
Ultimately the game, while being great at many things, is designed in a way that is anti-consumerist. Limited options, limited ways to deal with things, obscure knowledge checks that don't inform you when they should etc etc. There are so many poor design decisions that it really just doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Unlocks are strange, like they should come as I play, not be gated beyond strange feats etc. I would not anno 2026 recommend obsolete game design like this.
a masterclass in good and engaging game design

Amazing game. One of the best ever. When I got tired of vanilla I was even happier to find the mods.
good game
It's an endlessly replayable space mission simulator.
