Okay, ça me saoule. C'est quoi ce truc imbitable?!

If the idea of a heavily tactical 5 on 5 sports battle appeals to you, just get this game. The AI is really good (impressively so - they will tactically punt, they'll try to catch you sleeping on something that is too obvious, they'll proactively play defense to hedge their bets if something they on offense doesn't work), and the mechanics of the game are great. The single player stuff has some depth, but it's a little devoid of true management. The Knockout (must win every game or you perma-die) is hard but rewarding. The manager mode is fun but the ancillary management things are a little opaque - you have no real insight into drafting, free agent pricing (they give you a "guide price," but it is laughably wrong), and the AI teams have double your salary cap. But all that are minor things compared to the gameplay, which is awesome. If the idea of a simultaneous tactical game appeals to you, just get it.

Not sure why this only shows as 0.1 hours on record when I definitely played for more than that but I can't recommend this. It's a downgrade in almost every way from Frozen Synapse while also feeling less polished. It was rough in 2015 and there's no way I could recommend it in 2026.

This game gets a thumbs up if you're willing to make the commitment to it. I ended up refunding it, due to it's learning curve. The game is unforgiving, but that makes it fun when you manage to finally score, and win, for the first time. Due to not having a lot of free time and playing other games, I didn't see myself making a long term, time sink commitment. But the game is very cool and has an awesome presentation, like Superhot and XCom with Fights in Tight Spaces action, and the tackles and football moves are legitimately cool. I did not need to play others, but the dead player base will be a turnoff for those seeking multiplayer, though I imagine a tight-nit, niche community exists. But if you are the fence about getting it and willing to put a lot of time into it, get it, but if not, pass.
