Before I even begin writing my own opinions, here are two things you can see yourself: (1) The last update for Insidia was 28 March, 2018. (2) Have a look at the Insidia steam forum and see for yourself how active it is. https://steamcommunity.com/app/592890/discussions/ I also wanted to give this game a fair shake, so I decided to measure the queue times I sat through over one week. Keep in mind that the average game lasts about 15 minutes, and that all PvP matches are 1v1. The times are Eastern Time (UTC -5:00). Tuesday: 12:22pm - 12:49pm (No Match-Up) Tuesday: 10:34pm - 40:59pm (No Match-Up) Thursday: 9:57pm - 10:30pm (No Match-Up) Saturday: 1:28pm - 1:51pm (No Match-Up) Saturday: 10:30pm - 10:34 pm (SUCCESSFUL MATCH-UP) Saturday: 10:45pm - 11:00pm (No Match-Up) Sunday: 7:05pm - 7:20pm (No Match-Up) Monday: 6:50pm - 7:08pm (No Match-Up) Over one week, over 2 hours and 40 minutes of queue time, I only ever saw one other player. That player was visibly a beginner as well, and after the only match I had that entire week, I never saw that player again. Insidia as a game is interesting, albeit very sparse in content. However, that is besides the point. Insidia is not just dead. It's undead. Its servers are running but no one is playing on them. The only possible reason for you to install this game is if you can convince another friend to install it and play at the same time as you, because that's the only way you're going to find another player.
Another drop in an ocean of dead dreams. This is what ultimately happens to all these "online only" games. I remember trying this out during the beta, it seemed like a fun X-Com PvP brawler. Wouldn't mind if someone gave this game a second chance and this time the ability to play bots offline. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2560513490
Dead game. Player can only play duel vs computer or player. There are no players, and computer is exactly matched to you except it acts first. There is no campaign, no story, only micro-transaction shop for upgrades of course.
Yet another dead game.
No, the server is not down yet, but the general populace of gamers have spoken and died out. Insidia is still up and running, but has been reduced to a ghost town. Nobody plays it anymore. In terms of gameplay, yes there is a tutorial, however, you'll basically be playing practice with a bot with rules that don't seem straight-forward. Again, there is a guide, but would you really want to stick around and learn to play a dead game? Sure, the same could be said for Egyptian Senet, but at least with that, you can replicate it in real life. This? It's just confusing and dead. If I had anything nice to say about Insidia, it would be that the girls in it have good designs, but that's about it. Play it if you want, but I don't really see any reason why I would want to return to this game. 1/10 Girls look nice, but gameplay seems convoluted.
Game is basically dead. No updates, no news, no players.
Atlas reactor this ain't. With a genre as niche as this you can't really afford to not make an impact. Aside from a nice character design and music the gameplay itself doesn't really flow as nicely as i would like it to. I wonder how many new players will not understand the initiative bar and how many would get annoyed by trying characters to look a certain direction. While not a bad game by itself it's also not doing anything to really keep non die-hard fans of the genre in and i don't think F2P is going to help here if it's not going to get big on moblie or in asia. Player numbers already look bleak.
poorly designed controls make the game unplayable.
