Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

About
Frostpunk 2 elevates the city-survival genre to a new level. Take the role of a Steward and lead your city through a cascade of calamities taking place in a postapocalyptic, snowy setting. Build large city districts with their string of endless needs and demands. Navigate through conflicting interests of factions that populate your metropolis. As the needs of the city grow and factional power at its core rises, only you can steer the society towards an uncertain future.

The world is overtaken by an ever present winter, which makes expansion of the city the only way for the survival of mankind. In order to grow, the metropolis needs resources like coal and oil, just like its citizens require food and warmth. In Frostpunk 2, it's your job to tackle this never ending circle of supply and demand.

The number of your citizens steadily grows, making the task of governing them and satisfying their demands all the more challenging. As the Steward you will have to maneuver carefully across the interests of many groups inhabiting the city.

People of your city want to have a voice in how you run things. Each faction has its own ideology and ideas for the future, yet they also have one thing in common - insatiable thirst for power. Choose your allies in the Council Hall wisely.

Make tough life-and-death decisions as you allocate heat across your city, supported by new research topics and heat-oriented laws. Choose districts that need the most warmth with the help of the Heat Management system with a detailed temperature overlay.

The story of Frostpunk 2 introduces a multi-chapter saga set in the frozen wastes. Spanning across the life of the Steward this campaign lets you feel the burden of leadership as you take the responsibility for thousands of lives. At the same time, the sandbox mode called Utopia Builder with infinite play time leaves you room for boundless social and infrastructural experiments.

Frostpunk 2 comes with a comprehensive and versatile modding tool. FrostKit will let you create your own maps, models, and scenarios inside the game. Now, only your imagination can limit the destination your city is heading to!

Horrible. Plan on watching videos just to get started. If you're a serious gamer then you might feel different. If you're just an occasional player then this isn't for you. There's virtually no tutorial. The limited tutorial is complete crap. Frostpunk 1 is difficult but at least mostly intuitive. This is my 2nd attempt at wanting to like this game but it fails miserably.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Außerordentlich. Anders als Teil 1, aber besser.
TL:DR 11bit studios tried something new and bold with FP2, and it might not be your cup of tea. I enjoy the greater scale, but if you want FP1 feels just play the 1 (or maybe wait for its remake, I will). Regarding performance, it ran very well on my system. I love the visuals of the city's 'energy' running around the streets and how it changes colours according to Tension in your city. I guess watch some videos of gameplay and decide for yourself (or read this and other reviews). Simply said, I love their bold step with different status quo and gameplay, yet I understand if people don't enjoy it. --- As some other people mentioned it, this game is played very differently to first Frostpunk. It may be a dealbreaker for some, but I honestly enjoy this gameplay style too. Simply said you are given a large city and instead of figuring single buildings you are given whole districts. Resource management is different from 1 as well. You even get to manage multiple colonies at the same time which I found interesting aswell. The transition between them run very smoothly. Unfortunetaly I have not found it as punishing as the 1st game, but that may change when I try it on higher difficulty (playing on the officer difficulty) or when I get into harder chapters (yes, there are chapters in the main story mode, but it is just a fancy way of making milestones). Only think that bugs me is that you need to research some society laws for heatstamps (it's money, like caps in Fallout) and then you are not even guaranteed it will pass, because the dumdums in the council might not like it. If you want to unlock an alternative for some law (for instance healthcare) you need to research the alternatives too. I get it that it's for a balance but it is kinda annoying. Lastly, I do not want to be a nitpick towards people who are suprised this is not similar to FP1, but I read (or heard) in some interviews with developers during development of FP2 that they did NOT want to make the sequel a similar game to 1st one just with some different buildings or tweaked mechanics.
Even if the developers have moved away from the original game, this sequel still has that depressing cold atmosphere, style, amazing OST and on high difficulty it very challenging, you'll still struggle, which I found really fun

I was having a good time, but my time was spoiled by the generator refusing to accept infinite steam as a valid fuel source until it had burned all my other fuel stockpiles. There doesn't seem to be a fix for this, two years after release.
