As of right now, I cannot recommend this game to anyone except masochist and seasoned strategy gamers. The difficulty off rip is ridiculous, even on standard. I played Gloomhaven on Hard and found it punishing yet fair. This one just leaves you with no reprise. I've been stuck on the prolog mission with the "kill all enemies" objective but the Banner keeps summoning more. 3 new enemies every round after the first round is insane, especially with the seers stat blocks. I think the devs need to look more closely at balancing before I can actually recommend this game.
This is, of course, not yet complete, but seeing what has been done so far, I have no reservations about recommending this to any fan of the board game version of Frosthaven or Gloomhaven. The features released have been reliable and accurate. One warning: Frosthaven is tuned to be considerably harder than Gloomhaven, so you may want to start on a lower difficulty.
Game is very un-optimized, crashing and far from being ready. Wait for release and see if they fix
This is absolutely the best way to play Frosthaven. I've been in the board game campaign for a couple years now, and while we're having a good time, there's just so much to track compared to Gloomhaven (which was already a fair amount). Sure, various apps certainly help with the board game during scenarios, but there's not much when it comes to all the in-between scenario activities. Having useful, pretty UI for that alone puts the digital version over the physical one. I'm curious to see how the digital game translates some of the more complicated aspects like the puzzle book, but I'm sure it will make more sense here than in the physical version. If there was a way for us to create a custom digital game seed with everything we've unlocked and completed in the physical game to transfer over I would do it in a second.

возможно это гениальная игра. но по моему - какая то ненужно усложненная игра. пока сделаешь ход, забываешь - зачем ты сел в нее играть. слишком много ненужной второстепенной информации. для меня эта игра - хрень полная.
This games rng is straight rigged against you not worth playing
Having played through the physical version, it's really fun to see it come to life (and not have to do the setup every time for quick evening sessions!) I'm a big fan of the format, and it's really fun to play through again. The game is a bit unforgiving of mistakes, but that is probably somewhat unavoidable. I would love to see improvements on the character meshes, especially in menus etc. and on the camera controls - on many scenarios, it feels like you can either be completely zoomed out or completely zoomed in.
I am so impressed that they were able to get all of frosthaven’s complex rules down in digital form. Team has been super responsive during early access and made a great multiplayer games.
It fun like the real life game
