Frost is a Survival solo Card game. Inspired by deck-building board games like Dominion, Ascension and the like, it's an unique take on the genre as it puts you in charge of a group of people struggling against a restless, lethal storm.

It's quite interesting, if flawed here and there. It sucks that the game came out before the explosion of roguelike card battlers, I believe it would've been much more successful otherwise. It's designed in such a way that you could easily play a board game version if you wished to, and that's nice. The objective is to reach the Refuge, which you do by completing a set amount of regions. In order to complete a region, you must "tap" (as in: use but not sacrifice from the deck) a given set of resources. You can only hold 5 cards at a time, so you have to figure out ways to draw more cards. And you do need to hurry up - the Frost is coming. Every turn you do not travel, you lose one point in the Frost counter. Luckily, when you travel the counter goes up by one. And that's pretty much the entire game in a nutshell. Keep that deck lean and powerful. As you unlock content, you'll have to deal with "events" - some dangers which require you either to use a specific card, sacrifice some resources, or lose either a hit point (you have 4 of those) or a survivor. Both are valuable, so be careful. Sadly, this is also where the game starts to get a little too RNGy - it feels like sometimes you just lose because you didn't have enough luck with the cards. But perhaps that's just because I'm not so good at it. That said, I managed to beat the game on Hard, and to me that's completion - I'm satisfied. Another thing that could be different is the unlock system. To keep things short, you never know when you'll unlock things or what do you need to do to. I unlocked a few scenarios - beat them all - but I know there's far more, and I don't think there's much point in replaying this too much. Although I probably will return to this game every now and then, we'll see. Overall - I recommend it if you're into card games. This is quite different from whatever offerings there are on roguelike deckbuilder market now, simply because this is mainly a resource management/survival game. If nothing else, you'll appreciate the fresh and creative design.

An underrated gem. Challenging and brutal, though only the last scenarios does RNG start to become an issue. This may well be intentional given the theme of the game.
This game have very nice concept and style. Works very well as a singleplayer card game. There is a lot of content for some casual gameplay. This game sadly have many bugs and whole concept is kind of unbalanced.
El mejor deck building que existe! Super sencillo y adictivo. Una compra recomendada al 100%.
