Friends vs Friends

I thought it would be cool to try a roguelike shooter with a CCG element, however I'm just not finding this game fun to play. The actual gunplay and controls feel clunky to start with, and the cards element is mostly just distracting. It blocks a lot of your view in game, and none of the cards feel very inspired. Some of them are just throwable weapons, or, powerups that in other games you would just enable/equip before a round begins, or temporary access to a weapon. There's a feature where opps can dump garbage cards into your hand making it trickier to sort through them. There are some that affect the whole game world like temporary slow-mo. When you spawn it immediately feels like everyone is just dumping their cards, there's no real strategy behind anything. The maps are also not great and look like something from a flash game. Be warned that the game seems slightly dead as well, though there are some players online. A real shame that this is the case, because they got this unique Cartoon Network type feel to the characters, music, and artwork that's really spot on. My feeling is, they should have made this some kind of karting game instead of an FPS. I really hope they can salvage something from it.

It's pretty good as a party game, not p2w but a bit grindy to unlock the characters/cards/cosmetics. It's a pretty fun arena shooter overall.
