Fremdganger - The Cheating Demon

This game really surprised me. It starts off moderately scary and "normal" until one of the most unique twists I've ever seen in a videogame happens and turns the whole game on its head. I HIGHLY recommend going in blind.

There is so much more to this game than it seems at first. If you're a big fan of meta games then this one is for you.

Don't let the graphics fool you, this gave me night terrors and an existential crisis.

Im positivly surprised by this small but very fine game. The multiple layers of gameplay this game offers tie together with an interesting mechanic, that I have never encountered in any game I have ever played. Even though I wasnt too scared the story is very immersive. This game is a hiddem gem in the vast ocean of boring and uninspiring games out there. It defenitly deserves more recognition than it does right now.

I've seen many games that break the fourth wall, but this is the first game that breaks the fifth and sixth wall as well!

Ich bin tatsächlich mit der Erwartung, dass das Spiel eher average sein wird, an das Spiel rangegangen. Nach der ersten Stunde kann ich jedoch sagen, dass das Spiel einerseits recht gruselig war (einige Herzinfarkt-Momente), andererseits auch total spannend und interessant. Ich kann das Spiel also echt weiterempfehlen, vor allem, wenn man es mit Freunden auf Discord spielt, ist es wirklich lustig.

The game has a really interesting gameplay twist that i have never seen before , i got scared multiple times and there are also funny jokes in the game.

You're inside a simulation, of a simulation, inside a simulation, of a simulation inside The Matrix inside a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC within a mall that's inside your brain inside another giant simulation! What looks like your ordinary RPGMaker Horror story ends up being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a game where you travel between (two) different layers to solve various puzzles. The game's main mechanic, which is the "R E T U R N" thing mentioned in the game's description, is implemented in an abundant and satisfying manner and the puzzles, while simple, end up being really fun because of this. Remember to screenshot anything you might need or pull up a notepad and write it down, and that the puzzles aren't that hard, you just need to think "outside the box". Also I'll fix Discount Joker's monitor someday. He deserves it, he's an amazing storyteller after all.

Warning! Do not play this while taking any mind-altering substances unless you want to have panic attacks and trouble falling asleep for the rest of your life. What that really means is it's badass and, yes, disturbing. I haven't seen this concept before, and as others have said there's more to it than you might think. Definitely worth the price. It sticks with you.
