About
Hello, Explorer! Welcome to The Nightmare Catcher Project—a sci-fi FPS exploration game crafted by the solo developer, XAEON GAMES.
The Story
It is the year 2050. Planet Earth is in a state of decadence. The Third World War caused irreparable damage to the ecosystem, making life almost non-existent.
Those who survived the war joined forces to rehabilitate Earth, creating the ‘Homecoming’ space program, pursuing a simple goal:
Bring back four terraforming arks that were launched before the war—or whatever's left of them.
Help the space explorer John P. in completing the mission—or perish in the attempt...

for a game that has been developed by a single person, i would like to say... KEEP IT UP! this game may not be the cleanest looking or best feeling, but it sure is something else from what i usually play. alongside the gameplay comes a plot, wich isn't the best but it's fun on it's own. let's hope this game will see it's end of development!
I understand that this is a early access game but these are the things that make me the most upset about playing this game. The cam blur makes this game a big turn off for me I get really bad motion sickness every time I turn. there is no setting to turn this off witch make this really upsetting. I saved my spot then die and get sent all the way back to the start??. when you toss a grenade the sound effects are way off. the mobs just seem to re spawn way to fast and some times spawn right in front of you. Cut scenes should make your character invisible. I died countless time just do to the fact of a cut scene making me vulnerable to any mob that wants to take advantage of this awesome game mechanic. for now I will leave you with this review. yes its a free to play early access game but this game should of waited another year.

https://youtu.be/BcjQIsVnOHw - this game can make you scream, but you'd love it. It's peaceful and horrifying at the same time.
Honestly, it's very good, considering this has all come from one person. Could obviously do with some polish, but this is a brilliant start.
Could be worse. So the ever bouncing grenades are kinda a pain. So the gunplay combat can be a little wonky at times. It could be a lot worse. The game looks amazing and all in all it runs and shoots fairly smooth. I stumbled across this by chance and ya know what? It's pretty damn solid. JM is one hell of a one man studio. So ya know what I'll give it up JM and The Nightmare Catcher, let's see where this goes.
I played this game for 40 minutes, and I can say that the game is good, but not improved. Firstly, on some guns the animation is raw, the intellect of the opponents leaves much to be desired. Secondly, the map, it is beautiful and detailed, but boring, in 40 minutes of the game I found only a village and the ruins of a temple, and then empty. I would like something more, but I hope the game will be updated and become much better. My verdict: 8/10
