Much better than EAs franchise mode (by a considerable degree).

Played a little bit of present day, got bored. Then I got through 2 seasons of historical, but now it crashes every time I try to pass 6/30. The in-game version is total crap, it doesn't look like the flow of hockey even a little bit so the only way to play is pure sim which is somewhat tolerable. Penalties in general aren't believable... people get misconducts after silly things like a hooking penalty, but never see them in games where it became a bit of a brawl. Speaking of which, there never are any even if you play in the 70's and 80's when they had them all the time. Trading pretty much never happens. No way to set what you want back, so you constantly get offers back for some 35 year old half-star player instead of a draft pick that would help you. Speaking of trades, most trade deadlines go by with maybe 1 trade if any. But I could overlook most of that if the game was really good. But it's not... not by a long shot. The UI is one of the clunkiest I've ever seen... No easy ways to bounce between your farm teams, most right-click menus have like 23 options on them. No click and drag at all. No re-size ability on the game window. News gets overwhelming with the shear number of "who gives a crap" updates, so I end up ignoring most of it (which causes me to miss something I DO want to see. It's too bad. I had hopes for this game as OOTP has a really good baseball sim.
Wonderful games, runs well after years of simulation, and provides detailed analytics. FHM 7 also updates the series by having a 2D game display, this works well and adds excitement to the game.
This is one of THE worst simulation games I have seen how they charge money for this is laughable. It simply does not work at all bugs and crashes. Most bugs are sadly game ending, dont waste your money on this poor product
Its a 100% Bean Counters management game. I find it fun just to try different things with different Franchises. They Devs keep it up to date for the most part, certainly worth the price of admission.
As a hockey fan, FHM 7 is just amazing (you can probably tell by the amount of time I've spent playing it). The normal mode allows you to manage any team of your choice all over the world, while the historical mode lets you rewrite hockey history. My favourite has to be the custom mode, where I have made countless fantasy hockey leagues lasting dozens of seasons. The customisation in this game allows you to design your own jerseys, edit player attributes and much more. Overall, it's a superb game, 11/10. It's the best one on the market.
This game is broken. Customer support has moved on. Either buy 8 and hopefully you'll get a workable product or skip this developer entirely.
SO MUCH BUGS HOLY HELL I CANT FINISH A SAVE PAST 2027!! EVERY THIRD LINERS ASKS FOR 5 MILLIONS !! MCDAVID AND DRAISATL BOTH SAT DOWN A YEAR BECAUSE NO ONE WANTED TO PAY EM 14 MILLION A YEAR !! CORRUPTED SAVE !! MY PLAYERS NAMES ALL CHANGED TO SMITH SMITH OUT OF NOWHERE ???
The game is very fun and really puts you in the chair of a GM. But, i really recommend to follow some tutorial or inform you on how to easily start the game. Basically you can put all the thing you can manage on AI to do, like tactics and lines, scouting, trade, etc. But it is really fun for the first 15 hours i'va played it.
